Interesting article in saturdays sun Whicj Des McKeown pointed out the Lack of Teams That applied to replace Gr£tna But do you think that we need to Revamp our League set up, As i believe that the One team up pisses everyone off in this division dry.gif
Allstars #9
yes

we have 5 games against ross county already this season

we played dundee seven times a few seasons back

get the leagues changed, even the old 14 team league from the late 80s early 90s was more prefferable

I kinda thought that Completely Scrap SPL And the Irn Bru Leagues, And have a 20 team SPL, And two divisions Below that Consisting oF 16 Teams, two teams relegated, Two teams Up, End off.

But we all Know Lex Gold Won't want that dry.gif

Can we have a separate forum for threads on league reconstruction please?

We all know three indisputable facts;

  1. The whole of Scottish football needs reconstructed
  2. Everyone has a different view on how it can be achieved
  3. It will never happen
It's more than a little bit boring now.

Fu*k off ! laugh.gif Just cause you can't win the bloody thing doesn't mean we have to change the rules for you. It doesn't piss of Accies fans. We are the self preservation league. laugh.gif

Being serious, The SPL should be at least 16 teams. Failing that there should be a play-off place at least for losers like Dundee (GIRUY) laugh.gif

You are right - it will never happen because no one has been able to work out a way to have bigger leagues and

1) Have the old firm guaranteed at least four games against each other
2) Have the old firm visit your SPL ground at least twice a year.

Its all down to greed and making sure the SPL and most especially the old firm, prospers at the rest of Scottish football's expense!

I might be just overly tired, but are you suggesting adding another 10 teams to the league system? I think part of the problem at the moment is the number of professional teams in this country is far too high for a country our size. IMO any system with even more teams would have the opposite to the desired affect.

I stand to be corrected, but I don't think there were ever significantly more teams applying for election when any of the other vacancies came up.
