I decided you all know about my plans for the site "Scottishfootballnews" in more detail. Firstly I decided to set this site up because I believe that the only real place for News on Scottish football sides is either BBC SPORT (which contains minimal news for our teams or is full of news containing the old firm) or our own teams site, but I want a site that I can go on and see all the latest match reports , Transfer news and general news for all the clubs not only mines , Including the old firm. I believe that this could be a huge hit is many people can pull together and give it a good go.
I will be looking for as many people as possible to report on their team (Transfer news , Match reports and general) and also their own point of view , and people could comment and we may get a good debate out of it. This will range from League Three to the Spl, so the more people that can report on their team the better it will be.

Right How you can Help. I think it's time people worked together. Football is Football at the end of the day. I hate seeing bad blood between clubs. I travelled to Glasgow yesterday to watch Dunfermline ( My Team ) Play Partick thistle I went with my Girlfriend and we had not a clue where we were going but A Partick fan met me at the station and took me all the way to the ground and we had a very nice chat on the way. That is what football is all about a difference of opinion. If we can get a big group of people working together on this site I believe this could work.
At the Moment I am short of time between Work-Mate-Girlfriend and football, but I will try to get on as much as I can So I AM LOOKING FOR ANOTHER ADMIN TO HELP ME RUN THIS FREE SITE. If your blog is still actively running by December, I'll be very surprised. Unless you're paying people they'll very quickly lose interest in supplying material for a site that, if we're being honest, will have a readership of not much more than the people involved in it.

Good luck with it, but you really want to look at the quality of the editing. I've just looked at the first few articles and they are littered with typos. Words seem to be capitalised at random, etc. You would have lost me as a regular reader straight away.

I pity the owner of this website. He shall never match the sublimeness that was SlidingTackle.com.

Can i just give a word of warning now before you start filling your site.

While i think it is a good idea to get reports and news written by fans organized into one page and gives the chance to get a good look at fans point. Some photos on your page are copyrighted and it's probably not a good idea to have them on.

I know for a fact the one of Curier on the "Dundee Vs Ross county, by Migh Dee" story is copyright of the Dundee site and you'll be asked to remove it or pay a fee likewise with any others that appear from Dundee's site. I also know that BBC run a similar system and others probably do to.

I'd suggest that you get folks who are helping you out to maybe get some snaps while at the matches as most people have camera phones now and that way you'll have no problems with the above things.

I was aware of the BBC Pics so i never got any of them , as soon as I get a chance i will delete the Dundee sorry about that mate.

It's hard not to be infringing copyright even if you take the picture yourself. I was on a network run by a couple of English guys I don't know if the regulations are the same here but any pictures taken during play as far as I know are ultimately copyright of the Scottish Football League and pictures taken from the private land are owned by the club. Not sure if that's the case in Scotland, someone can clear it up no doubt.

It probably is the case but the thing is i doubt anyone will have a exception to you posting a picture on the web that you have taken yourself. People probably would however if you were just lifting them off another site.

From what i've heard away fans have been warned about taking pictures in Dens but i've never heard of an incident where the stewards have actually tried to delete photographs that have already been taken by said people.

I doubt the SFL or the clubs go about checking all these sites for pictures (George Peat is watching ) but that's officially the case I guess. Yes, the stewards as Dens don't usually mind, if they see you taking a lot they'll ask you to put it away that's it never asking you to delete them.

Just to let you know I took them from google , I never actually went to the dundee site with the Veiw to "steal" Pictures , but sorry again.

What do you actually thinnk of the site is it worth continuing with guy's ? , I would like to but i just hope people will visit , 300 hits in 2 days though is not bad.

I didn't mean to come off like i'd thought you'd done that at all mate. Just giving you a word of warning that companies will come calling if your site is successful.

It's not looking bad for a site that has barely had a chance to open its eyes, but as someone has said, you would have lost me as a regular reader due to the typos and pure fabrication. Is there a source to the bold statement that, Dundee have offered Steve Lovell a contract? If not, then it just seems to be a larger scale version of a rumour thread on Pie and Bovril.

In saying that, I genuinally wish you all the best with the site. I hope it works.

The deal was offered and is not dead yet. I doubt he will join but there still is that little possibility he will - here's hoping.
