Full Version: Rangers' Ticket Apology

From fishul site

RANGERS Football Club offers sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused to our fans at Ibrox last night.

Unprecedented demand for tickets on matchday itself, via the hotline and website, resulted in huge numbers of supporters uplifting tickets at the stadium prior to kick-off.

Consequently, standard Ticket Centre services were also affected, including ticket sales and the resolution of Smartcard issues.

The Club fully accepts its responsibility to deliver efficient ticket sales distribution, but would appreciate if supporters requiring to uplift their tickets on matchday, could do so at least two hours prior to the match. Supporters who uplift within two hours of kick-off may encounter queues due to the high volume of tickets sold for every home game.

The Club always endeavours to minimise inconvenience and provide an efficient uplift service for all home games, and will place specific focus on the imminent Liverpool match.

Rangers Football Club appreciates the vast support it enjoys at all home games and once again regrets any inconvenience caused to fans.

Martin Bain was just on the radio saying the situation made him truly incredulous.

I can’t help but think that it serves most fans right. They must have had a week or two to arrange tickets yet some wait until the very last minute.

I’ve seen it before at Celtic Park, more so with those going to uplift tickets that they have booked a day or two before. They saunter up to the Ticket Office at 2.30 expecting to get their ticket right away and are outraged when they see there is a queue which they have to stand in.

Idiots.

Superb!
The Ghost of Ron Burgundy
is this the same organisation looking to surcharge ticket sales for away games.

Martin Bain strikes me as one the slimiest characters in scotland...I cannot think of a more oily slippery nasty wee hun faced shit in all of this land.

I assume he is Waylan Smithers to Murray's Mr Burns.

Would you rather McGeady said he would play for Scotland, but somehow, as if by sheer coincidence, have an injury for Scotland matches, yer be fit for his next league match days later??

I remember the "olden" days before credit cards etc you used to go up to Celtic park and queue for 5 hours ohmy.gif

I'm always way in advance in terms of timings, other wise like some of these guys did not get in until the second half...given the crap crowd you think some bright spark would have just let everyone in 10 minutes affter the game had started
Steven
Maybe Falkirk could sell Rangers tickets from now on, for 5% of course wink.gif
RiG
"Unprecedented demand" for tickets and yet the crowd was well short of capacity huh.gif

Rangers fans: If you're gonna complain about queuing for tickets, your local team Queen's Park's just down the road, only costs a tenner a game and's pay at the gate. Might get to see a lot more of Hampden as well...

An hour! - last night at Stair Park two guys missed 4 goals.

(Rumour is that it was from staying in the pub too long and then having to go back out and switch their car lights off - but it could possibly have been a queue for online tickets).
