Andy Kirk.
Could be a very good signing. I remember he was banging in the goals for Boston and Northampton down south and also did pretty well up here with Hearts.
You can thank Dundee United for selling Noel Hunt and Dunfermline getting a cut.

Delighted but rather shocked that we've signed a striker also it's great to know he's a proven goalscorer as well.
Welcome to EEP Andy
We've also been linked with Gary Wales and John Fleck and if McIntyre's looking to bring in another striker it will probably be a loan move and Fleck could be a very possible signing.

Can never say for certain but that looks a pretty good signing. Shows McIntyre has some decent contacts as he's been allowed to leave Yeovil on a free, so I'm sure (like when Steven Milne left Plymouth to sign for us) some SPL clubs would have been interested if they'd found out. Dunfermline have a decent strikeforce now, if virtually no depth beyond the established two and the manager.
I still say there is no danger John Fleck will be allowed anywhere near this league though.

Could be a good signing for the pars. Has a good goal scoring record.
Still too lightweight if injuries start to accumulate, but get off to a good start and momentum can keep you going - true for all teams in this division

Good Signing. The little and large combo of Bayne and Kirk could prove quite dangerous, and is an improvement on what they had last season.
I just wish they'd made this signing after the game at Firhill. I'm feeling less and less confident with every passing moment.

HAve to say i'm happy with this signing

. Also impressed with the way McIntyre keeps his cards close to his chest. Apart from the Bayne signing there wasn't a sniff about any of the other signings prior to them arriving.

I always liked Kirk and I'd imagine he'll do well for the Pars.

Rangers will not let any club near Fleck for a long time to come infact I;d maybe stick my neck out to say he won't ever play in the First Division. If he goes out on loan it will be to an SPL club and even then be kept under x amount of cotton wool.

That
IS a good signing. Dunfermline's chances are immediately re-appraised. Bayne and Kirk could be a good combination.
I had also forgotten they still had Alex Burke there who was a decent forward with us at this level a few years ago although he generally plays a little further back now.
Pretty sure we will get Wales in too.

That is one of the better 1st Division signings this year. As SD says, one player arrives and you have to re-appraise Dunfermline's chances. That was their main area of weakness.

Very happy with that. Should be used to the sort of game the 1st division will bring given that he's spent the last few seasons in Leagues 1 & 2. Hopefully we'll tie up another striker in the next few days so we get a bit of depth - if Kirk or Bayne were to get crocked on Saturday we'd be back to square one.
I don't think there's a chance of John Fleck arriving, that all started simply because a few people on dafc.net said he would be a fantastic player to have on loan and suddenly it seemed to change into "it's on the cards". As someone said above, if he goes anywhere it'll be to an SPL club to get him used to that kind of game, I can't see Rangers believing that a season in the 1st would help him to develop as a player.

Good signing. Proven goalscorer at a higher level and still in his 20s (just).
The story about Fleck did start on the .net forum, however it was also mentioned in the local newspaper about Fleck coming on loan. Can't see why it would be such a bad move. The first division will toughen the player up and dunfermline are not the worst club to be on loan too.Didn't do McGregor any harm

The goal ranked no3 in this
video would be a nice surprise tomorrow...
I'm pretty sure at least one fan of every team in this division has linked their club with Fleck over the summer months.
Kirk's a good signing, and it'll be disappointing to see him lining up against us tomorrow, especially if McCall fails to nail down the two signings he hinted at earlier in the week.

Ulsters a legend,
Always tried and a very likable player
I wouldnt get carried away by his spell with boston, as he didnt hit the net regularly for us - was good for 5-10 a season normally
Could be injury prone too
Reckon he will do a more than decent turn for you lot

Ay, we've been rumoured to be near his capture about 8 times in the last year, same with Steven lennon and virtually any OF yougster who people have heard of.
Seems like a good signing for Dunfermline, doubt they'll have the squad strength to push for the league though.

We all know that the Dunfermline Press get their information from Dafc.Net forums anyway. It started off as someone suggesting him on .net and ended up on the back page of the Press. I don't think we've got any chance in signing him.
As for Andy Kirk, I think he's an excellent signing and should work well with Bayne.

Very disappointed with this. McCall better get his finger out and sign a proven striker. Another goalscorer signed up for our rivals.

Ulster Andy's a good player and an all round great guy who's been unlucky with injuries, he should be a great signing for Dunfermline.

Good signing for Dunfy.
Good signing for Dunfermline. He is a lovely lad - He used to live on my street in Livi when he played for Hearts and we all had a lot of time for him. Good striker too but has been unlucky with injuries over the years.

I don't see why it McCall's fault. I'm sure he wouldn't have loved to sign Andy Kirk if he had the money.
Good player BTW. Dunfermline are looking strong in offensive area.

I think its a great signing. A couple of SPL clubs wouldve taken him I think. His record at Boston is flattering due to it being league two but when he stepped up to Northampton his ratio was pretty good to considering injuries. Im sure he banged in 25 in one season for them. Still only 29 too.
