One has eloped with the chairmans niece, while the other has broken his clavicle pretending to be Noel Edmonds.

A modern tragedy.

With one competitive match under their belts, it's looking good.

Dougie Hill played a blinder alongside Townsley against IMHO a poor Dundee outfir in the Teuchter Cup, and Scullion had a decent game too.

The test will come when we start the real stuff on Saturday. But if they both maintain their curent form, they look like decent signings for us.

I was never that impressed by Dougie Hill in his first stint at Alloa, apart from his midweek wonder goal away to Dumbarton in 2004.
However having seen him playing as a Centre Half instead of a Left Back alongside Chris Townsley he looks very assured and a much improved player after his time at Central Park.
Pat Scullion has also been impressive, especially his work rate and effort and think he will be a valuable addition to what is looking a very competitive squad.

Turning this on its head, how have Derek Fleming and Sandy Hodge fitted in at Cowdenbeath?
Would imagine they are both decent Third Division Players, Derek Fleming wasn't the best defender we have ever had but has a good left foot especially from set pieces. Sandy Hodge after an initial poor start looked towards the end of the Season to be an improved steadier defender.

Trust me - Dougie and Pat will be stand outs for Alloa this year

Fleming has been out injured for a few weeks - I have only seen him play for 25 minutes so cant really comment on that. Sandy at first looked a bit shaky but he has improved with games under his belt and now looks like he and Joe Mbu will form one heck of a good defensive partnership.
Father Barrys Sign (Top Half)
Bit early to say, but after one competitive game Scullion and Hill have both been excellent. Scullion worked very well with Stevenson in the middle, and Hill was at the top of his game at the back. As mentioned by MagicHat, Hill will benefit from playing alongside Townsley at centre half.
