With fabulous prizes up for grabs, it's your chance to sit in the manager's hotseat and build a team of superstars to beat the rest and top the table, just like Saintclark(AJC) at the end of last season. The rules remain the same, and this time around, the manager whose team scores the most points during each calendar month will receive a trophy for their efforts. So, get your thinking caps on, pick your team, and sit back and watch as the season unfolds. Remember, you've got to be in it to win it!

SELECTING / REGISTERING YOUR DREAM TEAMGetting in the game is easy. Study the player list, and choose your team of 11 based on a 4-3-3 formation - a goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three strikers. You cannot include more than two players from any one First Division club. You may only choose players featured in the list. Furthermore, you can only enter one team per username. If you do enter more than once on any one username, I will only accept your first recognized entry, and further entries will be disqualified.
To register your Dream Team, 'PM' me your team (or post on this thread if you wish), along with the 3-digit codes for each player. Also, please verify your chosen team name, e.g. 'K38's Accies'. You must enter a team before the deadline date of 3pm on Saturday August 2, 2008.
I cannot accept responsibility for late entries or entries lost through Internet transfer. Incomplete, incorrect or entries considered obscene will not be accepted. Any inappropriate team names will not appear on the league table.
Dream Team results are calculated on all First Division 2008/09 matches, with points awarded or deducted according to your players' performances. My decision is final.

Players who come on as subs do not qualify for an appearance. For example, if a defender comes on as a sub and his team draws 0-0, he will score seven points (shut-out). If a defender plays from the start and his team draws 0-0, he will score nine points (seven points, shut-out and two points, appearance). Subs or players being subbed will be deemed to have played the entire game and will score accordingly. If a defender goes off at any time, his team would have to keep a clean sheet for him to score shut-out points. If players are transferred out of the First Division they score zero points. However, if one of your selections transfers to another First Division club, you will receive the points that player scores at his new club.

I know you've said only players from the list can be selected but Rab Douglas will be our keeper for next season so he should be on list.
Edit - Also Gilhaney is midfielder and Malone is defender.
Apart from that cheers for all your work putting this together again. I'll get my team sent to you some time this week.

Damon Gray's loan from Hibs only lasts until January, so he would be virtually guaranteed to be nill points before a ball is kicked

Who do you suggest I take out from defence to accommodate Paton and Robertson? Likewise with midfield for McKeown? I thought Damon Gray was more likely to get a game than Eaglesham, so that's why I added him. Not every player gets on the list, not least until the transfer window.

McKeown ahead of McStay.
I see where you're coming from regards Gray, but if his points totals will go to zero in January, Eaglesham could be more valuable after playing one game!
and I'd say to accommodate Paton or Robertson it would make sense to take out Kinniburgh.
The main problem is that we play 3 at the back plus two wingbacks, AND our best defender Archie is out for half the season. Ergo six mainstream defenders.
You see the dilema.

I know you aren't going to change the players at all now but a couple of observations with respect to Queen of the South:
Craig Reid is much more likely to play games for us than Michael McGowan in defence.
Jamie Adams is a central midfielder, not a striker, never has been one.
Adams and the currently injured Neil Scally are more likely to feature regularly than Scott Robertson who you have included in midfield.
Well done again though. I'm sure it's a lot of hard work for no benefit and indeed some personal cost.
