It's the best thing since sliced bread, if you own the website
Looking at that, I see a Nintendo Wii still on the bidding, not even sold yet, and it's being bid at £30.
Bids are in 7p increments, so to get to £30 there have been 428 bids placed.
A bid is £0.50 so £214 has been spent just on bids so far.
If the item sold right now even for £30 then the total incoming to the website would be £244 (£214 + £30)
They can buy a new Wii for about £170, less than that if they are buying loads of them. Plus of course they can easily artificially extend the bidding whenever they feel like it just by throwing in a few automatic bids.
Fair play to the people running the site, it's a great idea, but for the consumer I don't think so.
A but like that Ferrari that you see in the airport, with tickets to win it at £50. Anyone know anyone whose ever won one of those !??
