Will the Bathgate strikeforce next year have one of the oldest combined ages
in a long while with former Dumbarton, Airdrie and Livingston striker Brian McPhee teaming up
with Paul McGrillen

With McPhee 38 in Oct and McGrillen 37
that will make a combined age of 75

anyone beat that ??
Millfield Marksman

A 4-3-3 formation with 25 year-olds in the forward line would equal it - is that likely? The Under-21s can play 4-2-4 biggrin.gif

Dangerous combination, but would be disrespectful to Bathgates other strikers to assume both these players will start. cool.gif

Didn't the lure of the Wullie Hill millions also entice Graham McLaren away from Camelon ? If so I'd imagine he would be in the starting XI and McPhee would be on the bench.

You being serious? He will prob be on decent money, doubt they would waste him on the bench.

You think McLaren left the Mariners for the glory of playing for Bathgate ? Expect him to be on as much as anybody else huh.gif
AlanCamelonfan
I heard Menmuir was on £180 a week a damm site more than he was on at Camelon.

Having seen bathgate last season I can confirm that they did indeed leave big money players on the bench and out of the squad but somehow still played the utterly hopeless Barry Elliot (slower than a week in jail).

I think you will find Mr Hill is very shrewd and some of these big money players only get paid if they are in the 16 that week
if not they only get a percentage of their wage

I believe its 100% pay if you start 75% in the 16 and get on 50% for a custard. cool.gif
