Thank god he took too long to make his mind up we'd have in in goal instead of Rab Best of luck to him, he was better than I expected to be honest but that Queen of the South game still gives me nightmares.

When did he play for Queens?

Must be 2-3 years ago. I think he was officially 'on loan' at the time. Went to Ross County after us.

He had two separate loan spells with us whilst he was a Kilmarnock player and the u21 keeper.

Was our 1st choice keeper from Feb 04 to the end of the season when Colin Scott had a shoulder injury. Played 12 games.

Returned for a separate loan the following season July to Xmas but was second choice to Scott and only played one Challenge Cup tie.

Wasn't the worst keeper ever but was pretty underwhelming.

Actually returned to Kilmarnock and then went out on loan to St Johnstone under Connolly before leaving Kilmarnock to get a season with Dundee United in the SPL. Then he joined Ross County for a season, Dundee for a season and now Hereford.

Argh, bad memories! He was terrible for us.

Sammy wasn't the worst keeper we've had at Dens, wee bit shakey to begin with but nearer the end of the season he developed into a good shot stopper.
Think his biggest weakness is his inability to comunicate with his defence.

Yes, that teams can't afford to pay off players when they stop putting effort in 6 months into a 5 year deal.
