Thats pretty gay compared to the current dashboard hopefully its optional wheter to change it or not.

I think it looks quite cool

I'll be keeping the current 'blades' but I'm looking forward to a few of the features of the next update. Multiple user chat (long overdue), the ability to save games to the harddrive and the party mode sound great.

Fans of the current "blades" interface may be saddened to learn that the update isn't an optional redesign, it's a total replacement. They'll still get a taste of the old interface via the new Guide look and feel. Hit the jump for a photo.

Much prefere the current gamerpics to the new "Mii" like avaters. Like someone said, its a bit too wii like.

You will still be able to use old themes + gamerpics on the new dashboard.

Looks pretty neat, does look more like the PS3 setup, which looks great.

I got a message today on the 360 to tell me Live will be down on Monday to implement the New Xbox Experience. Do you think it was referring to this?

It's to prepare the console and the servers for the upcoming update. You won't actually see the NXE when Live comes back online on Tuesday. It won't actually come out until around November probably.

Oh, that's easy. I had barely glanced over it there and still managed to decipher it. I don't know how I missed it first time.

I see there will be an Update at 10am today for the new dashboard. Should be interesting, I'm pretty bored of the current look.

I'm liking it.

Obviously the main change is the look of the dashboard which I think is much better than the previous.

The only other really good thing is the ability to create a party and have about 8 people in the one chat thing.

The ability to install games to the HDD is also quite good but only actually benefits some games, and having a 20Gb HDD I don't think I'll bother.

My mate got RROD about 5 mins after installing this.

I ended up installing GoW2 to HDD, loading times are slightly better, and there is virtually no noise coming from my console whilst playing it.

It seem a lot less sluggish compared with the last one, really sharp. I think it's great.

Playing UNO with your avatar enabled is really cool.

The avatar thingy is a bit Wii-esque, but other than that it seems ok. It'll take a wee bit of getting used to, but then so does everything new.

Looks quite good, I spent 10 mins making up an avatar, but I was slightly tipsy after the football, so I'll update it later.

You can do it on the My Gamer Card site but it's running really slowly the now, presumably a lot of people are doing the same thing.

EDIT: Hmm, the site appears to be working but it's not showing your guy. Have you saved the avatar correctly?

Nah the website's running maintenance on the GamerPic Scout which presumably retrieves avatars from Xbox Live...

Once it's up and running I think it'll just be a case of generating the code for the Gamer card and it should include the avatar - Unless of course, the scout is capable of updating gamerpics automatically...
