Who do you think??
scaregowrie Saint
Sure this poll was done a few weeks ago but might change my vote this time. I'm going each way on Rae or McInnes. Date of getting the jotters would be a more fun poll. I predict 28th september after a 7-2 defeat for one of them tongue.gif
SaltyTON
Voted for Roberto Landi after the new owners realise that they should just David Hay the manager rather than paying out two unnecessary salaries.
Bri RCFC
Who went for Derek Adams? I'd be highly surprised if his father made him the 1st coach to get the sack tongue.gif
EdinburghLivi
*second. Mark Proctor was already sacked.

I'm going to change my opinion from the last time and go for Kenny Black. Airdrie will struggle and they'll attempt to make a scapegoat out of him around Febuary.

What about managers moving on to better positions?

kenny black will keep his job no matter how bad we are this season with the tiny budget and small squad he is doing a good job the first casaulty will be either rae mcinnes or mcintyre which ever one has the worst start i went for mcinnes
Loki
I think most managers in the league would be relatively safe initially. The managers most likely to be sacked would be from teams with high expectations and they fail spectacularly. The most likely candidates being St Johnstone, Dundee and Queens. As all three teams are expected to fight it out at the top, and a slow start to the season from one side could see the pressure mount. Although both Queens and St Johnstone have shown patience with previous managers in the recent past. Alex Rae for me if Dundee don't make a solid start.

Derek Adams will not be sacked this season even if we are cut adrift by January.
Bri RCFC
I went for Macintyre, wouldnt be surprised if Brown falls early either if the Bully Wee are stuggling at Xmas
sign dave
i feel that queens may under perform this year, so am guessing chissolm to gt the chop!
diamonds2002
Expectations are low at Airdrie and Black is unlikely to get the bullet. The first will come from a club that is expecting big things and fails to deliver
PTFC27
It was close between Brown and McIntyre but I went for McIntyre in the end.
Eastwood
Brown sacked laugh.gif Where are we going to find the money for that? I went for McCall who will walk away furious that his hands continue to be tied by the PT board amid statements of broken promises etc

I wouldn't be surprised sad.gif .

It will not be McIntyre.

Aye he'll walk.
7-2
McInnes wont go.

As Loki said Geoff tends to stand by managers, so there is no way he would ditch Derek just for coming up with another of our now traditional slow starts. There would have to be a ridiculously bad run that would see any manager sacked for Geoff to ditch him.

Who expects us to be fighting it out at the top? I'm not sure many Queens fans do and as long as we aren't fighting it out at the bottom, I think Chisholm will be safe all season.
We've not only shown patience with previous managers, but with the current one as well. We were one game from going bottom of the league in mid Novemeber last season, and were still around the relegaton area in December. Some might argue that isn't showing patience as he only took over at the start of the season, however given the budget and with full-time training in Glasgow, I think he would have been expected to do better in the early months. It is also possible that, even if we do as badly initially this season, it will take an exceptional series of poor results for the goodwill built up by Chisholm last season to evaporate.
I'd say Chisholm is one of the safest from an early sacking.
DAFC
Rae will go to United.
Borussia
The expectations of the chairmen in charge of Dundee, St Johnstone and Dunfermline are that they should be in the promotion hunt. Yet none of these chairmen have appointed anything that looks like a manager.

So the one which faulters most out of these 3 will be first to go.

Or it might be somebody else

How many have you had since you were last relegated from the SPL?
Dunning1874
Tough choice between Rae and Landi, but I went for Rae.

Dundee'll be hanging around mid-table at the start of the season, and he'll get the bullet after 7 or 8 games.
Yellow Army Faithful
Dundee are after the title and i reckon that if they have an off day against nyone or do what they done first season down (when they supposedly had the best team) then rae will go

Other than that i can see Chisolm goin to Hibs or Killie

true blue
think rae will be under the most presure because he is the only manager at a big team who should be in the PL. all other teams in SFL 1 know they arent big enough for the SPL so are quite happy in division 1

So we're not including pre-season? I'd judge anything after the last set of games to be the new season.

I suppose it's just how people judge it but that's my two cents.

that must be the dundee haters , teaming up cool.gif what a multi orgy

Suprised few have went for Black: albeit Ballantyne may be realistic as to the side's expected problems, at which stage may he walk or be punted?
DomDom
I can see Black being kept on regardless of the disasters ahead, so I won't be picking him.

I can see John Brown being the one getting the boot.

If Alex Rae hasn't got Dundee in the top by Christmas with the amounts he's being allowed to piss up against the wall, then he's sure to be fired.

Disagree there, I think Rae, McInnes and McIntyre all look like they'll become decent managers. I'd rather have either of them than Bomber Brown, who i've voted as first for the boot.

Likewise if we dont get one agains them then Brown should pack it in. That would leave us bottom (I think) and not looking like getting any points in the near future.

Although I voted for him, I hope it's not Davie Irons, that we at least we'll be guaranteed 9th! biggrin.gif
