I dont think you can read much into Lovell being at Dens last night. Two of his formal clubs battle it out is a good enough reason for him to go. Remember, Chris "money grabber" Innes was at the Dundee game v Stirling and he didnt sign for us.

As much as I liked Stevie Lovell, I dont think we need another striker at this moment in time. I think we need to strenghten in other areas.

They are not old and finished enough to sign for Diddee.

I think we'll sign either Lauchlan or Santos and one more midfielder. I don't share the excitement over the prospect of Snodgrass, undoubtedly talented but he rarely put in a committed performance from what I've seen/heard. Also, if he does sign at Dens, the length of time it will have taken proves we were clearly well down on his list.

To be fair to MB, this is getting fairly tedious. Santos looks half decent for this league, age would be a major factor later on during the season though. Lauchlan was awful last night in the 20 or so minutes he got, please do not pursue. Strange that Snodgrass was in attendance and hopefully we don't sign Lovell if given the chance.

That's all fine and well but I, and plenty others, are getting a bit fed up with the 'in jokes' and amateurish nature of the PA boys. They also ruined the surprise at half time by playing 'Hey Mickey' just before Cameron was announced. They think they're very clever but they are tiresome and irritating.

They played Hey Mickey after the signing was announced, never noticed the song before it.

I thought Santos looked pretty composed last night too. My Blades mate says he always played centre midfield for them and he was a pretty good passer of the ball. He didn't comit GBH last night either. On what I have seen I would be tempted to sign Lauchlan and Santos and have GM as backup. Big Gary has never filled me with confidence. I thought Gilhaney tried pretty hard last night - we were up against, on paper, much stronger opposition so your wingers are not usually going to get the chance to rip up defences in games like this. I was a wee bit disapointed in young Eddie given the Stirling reviews. I didn't feel he got in to the game really.
Next signings? It would be hard to pass by Lovell is he wants to sign for us. It would be pretty hard on Davidson, Spider and CM though - assuming MAC is a definite starter when available. Snodgrass? I just have not seen enough of him to be really sure. Was Snodgrass definitely there last night and who was Cameron sitting next to in the stand during the second half?
