Any idea if home match will be all ticket or not?

If so will tickets be on sale this weekend or next weekend which leaves it short notice if first leg at home. I know it depends on oppostition but I will be away a couple of weekend soon

Some of these bits are hard to get to! Who would have thought Helsinki is only serviced directly from London!

It will probably be made all ticket for "safety reasons" but I'd reckon there will be plenty going spare. I doubt we will fill New Broomfield, and I doubt any away support will be very big. I also doubt any will be available on Saturday before the Airdrie game because it doesn't give the club much time to print them. In fact I don't know if it will even be the club that does print them, there might be a generic UEFA Cup ticket design similar to the Hampden tickets that Queens had to order through the SFA.

So many questions of course still to be answered but in just over 24 hours all will be revealed.

There are direct flights from Edinburgh to Helsinki via Finnair! wink.gif

Well we aren't going to Wales or Northern Ireland then! biggrin.gif

All out.

St Patrick's Athletic of Dublin are still in front in their tie I think. It isn't finished though.

St Patrick's have just gone 2-0 up on aggregate in the 40th minute so they look like going through. I think you can get into Southern Ireland without a passport. A driving licence will do I think.

I could be wrong but I think that's the case with most EU nations.
I dunno about anyone else, but I'm finding the fact that Queens will be in the hat for a European draw tomorrow still quite hard to grasp! biggrin.gif

Presuming St Pat's hold on to their 2-0 lead last I knew the possible draws are narrowed to the following:

CODE
FC Midtylland Denmark
FC Nordsjaelland Denmark
Djugardens IF Sweden
Kalmar FF Sweden
Haka Valkeakoski Finland
Honka Espoo Finland
FH Hafnarfjardar Iceland
Metalurgs Liepaja Latvia
Suduva Marijampole Lithuania
St Patrick's Athletic Ireland

and possibly Stabaek of Norway in some unlikely circumstances. Also, there's a chance UEFA will move an unseeded side from the Central section into our draw as it has an odd number. If so that could be any one of a number of other sides.

As I understand it those 10 possible opponents will be split into two groups of 5 tomorrow and we'll know before the actual draw that it will be one of five.

Going by seedings and results tonight we definitely don't want Kalmar (Swedish league leaders) or either of the Danish sides. I don't personally want to go to St Patrick's. It's probably winnable but I've been to Dublin before and Queens have played pre-season friendlies there in the past, there's no great adventure in it.

Ideally for me a trip to Iceland, Latvia or Lithuania please. Failing that I wouldn't mind Finland or perhaps Djugardens who sneaked through tonight on away goal rule v Flora Tallinn of Estonia. smile.gif

St Patrick's win 3-0 on aggregate.

Only Manchester City's tie still to be completed and since they are 3-0 up on aggregate it won't affect our possible opposition list.

a wee trip tae latvia or lithuania would suit me fine rolleyes.gif

Cheers UEFA!

Split into two groups has been done this morning and possible opponents now are narrowed to:

FC Midtjylland (DEN)
FC Nordsjælland (DEN)
Djurgårdens IF FF (SWE)
Kalmar FF (SWE)
FC Honka Espoo (FIN)

That's the much harder half of the draw. We do NOT want Kalmar. Current leaders of the Swedish league, won 10-1 on aggregate last night. The two Danish sides won 10-1 and 8-0 first round and are very good sides too.

Best option is probably Honka who beat Akranes 4-2 in the last round. Djugardens actually only got through on away goals against Flora Tallinn of Estonia but do have good pedigree

Ground capacities: Nordsjaelland - 10,000 Midtjyland 11,800 Djugardens 14,417 Kalmar 10,000 Honka Espoo 6,000
TeeMan
According to the uefa website we are in Northern Group 1, the unseeded teams are -

FC Midtjylland (DEN)
FC Nordsjælland (DEN)
Djurgårdens IF FF (SWE)
Kalmar FF (SWE)
FC Honka Espoo (FIN)

Honka for me huh.gif

Ireland is a bright side. I WANTED to go to Iceland.

It looks like they've split the non-seeds into a top half and bottom half and then allocated the seeds between the groups. We got the top half of the unseeded which is fecking bad luck.

UEFA tinkered with the pots a wee bit before the draw. Rennais of France have come into the North section. Suduva were moved out.

That's a real bummer. mad.gif Honka for me too, but we're as good as out with any of those IMHO. I wanted Lithuania, Latvia or Iceland - hey ho.

I've had a feeling for a while we'd get a Swedish team. I'd rather have Djurgårdens IF FF than Kalmar. The two Danish teams and Kalmar would beat us comfortably.

That's a sickener. Expensive elimination beckons.

I have work reasons to be in Kalamar sometime in the next 6 months, which would quite nicely pay for the trip. However, I doubt that would fully soften the blow of a stuffing should it occur, so fingers crossed for Honka

Not turned that on but tension is building, my mates working in Stranraer and just phoned him about the teams we can get. Settled a few of there nerves.

All the British teams in the Champs league draw are away first. We COULD be travelling to Denmark the same week as the Rangers fans - that I don't like!

Might be some TV coverage interest looking at the teams we could face.

Not long now! biggrin.gif

That unfortunately looks unlikely, if you look at a winnable tie as a good draw.

We are getting a trip that involves leaving the British Isles and using our passports so from that point of view it is good. I have also never been to any of the countries in question.

At the end of the day it's Queens in the UEFA Cup FFS, it's all good! boldblue.gif boldblue.gif boldblue.gif
