1) How Scottish is your team? does it really matter? would you be happy with a bunch of Lithuanians as long as they were wearing your colours and playing alright. If all clubs are managed and coached by people from out of the area and full of players from a different country, what is it apart from the strip they play in and the proximity that makes your club special for you? Do you need local people at the club to make it a community club? or is it the fans that make the club and the players and staff are mainly irrelevant.

2) What chance does a young local kid have of getting into your first team? will he have to be twice as good as the Journeyman brought in by your manager from a lower league (usually for twice the wage) to get into the team? or are you that skint that the ability to shave is good enough to throw you in at the deep end?

3) Does your Board of Directors take any notice of the fans? Do they organise a Forum now and again but only when things are going alright? Is there a "Fan's Representative" on the Board and if so do they actually stand up to the rest of the board on your behalf or do they just love being important.

1) Ours is a scottish team, with a few english players thrown in. Our owner makes highland toffees, you cant get much more scottish than that. Our club tries to be a community club and a Business but fails badly at both. It's the fans that are the most important thing at Morton, but not the only important thing.

2) Absolutely none, im not even sure if we scout our local area but if you're from greenock you'll end up signing for the Old Firm or Aberdeen as the club takes no interest in trying to get them to sign for us.

3) Absolutely not, there is an us against them mentality between the board and the fans which i don't think will change until Dougie leaves, although i wouldn't say i particularly want him to leave. We have a fans forum yearly but nothing of any importance gets discussed, Dougie avoids answering questions that he doesn't like. There is a fans representative on the board, but i wouldnt say he stands upto the board. There would be no point as its Dougie's way or no way.

Don't be so silly. The fan's Internet forum is NOT the morton fans .

The forum is just around 100 arseholes with a brain between them and only about 25 of them are making regular posts. The VAST majority of Morton fans don't care about what is said on that site - it's a joke!
Nothing on there but jumped up old men and wee kids fighting and back stabbing each other and the club.

Mortonunofficial represents less than .5% of Morton's home support and is only used by complete saddos so please dont say it's a Us against them. IT IS NOT!

what has the forum got to do with anything? so a chairman saying that we should be more like Celtic fans, a chairman blaming fans for bad results isn't an us against them mentality? there are many more examples, and has nothing to do with an online forum. I'm not saying i disagree with things Dougie says but anyone with half a brain can see that if all was well between club and fans then they wouldn't be said in the first place.

Not to mention how many fans dislike Dougie, i know a lot of Morton fans who aren't on the forum who don't like him as im sure everyone else on the Forum knows plenty of people who don't post who dont like him.

there is an us and them mentality which goes both ways, take your head out of the sand.

your obsession with hating the Morton forum is scary, did it take you out to dinner, sleep with you and never call you again?

1) All 20 of our players under contract are Scottish, though we have a German trialist at the moment.

2) Ruari MacLennan was a regular in the team last year, and David McGowan made a lot of starts as well. A quarter of our first team squad have progressed through the youth system, and we usually take on a number of youngsters on YTS contracts every season.

3) Usually have two forums per season, we have one coming up this week.
