I know there's been recent talk abour BBC Gaelic showing SFL matches. Does this now put an end to that??

dont know, would probably say it will suspend it in the time being,
how come we dont get the likes of football first anymore? that was a great programme, go and start a petition to get it back and running!!!!

...the reason that there is no Football First anymore is that the viewing figures were abysmal and STV couldn't justify the outlay.
How can they bill these games as 'live' when they will be shown 2 hours after the final wistle !?
They are billed "as live" not as "live" - subtle difference which means you get the full game but delayed by a few hours.

Aye, you have to think that puts any potential SFL deal to rest for a bit. If there was one, it surely would have been announced by now.
When is the SFL's AGM?
It's just this SPL deal was agree at theirs, so I'd imagine anything with the SFL will be done at theirs.

I guess it's just DFCTV for my highlights fix again next season. Although I would quite like to see how other teams are doing as well.
The English Conference had the right idea a few season back when Sky's coverage was shocking -- all the teams got together and agreed to film all their home games. The footage was then gathered together and edited, then posted on a collaborative website around 48hrs after the matches.
And it was free.

SFA would need to agree to this as they own the rights to the footage. Doubt the SFA / SFL would agree to anything logical / smart.
