has anyone heard any gossip on new signing yet. i heard they offered joe mbu a contract does anyone know if he signed.

He was playing the 1st half for Cowdenbeath against Edinburgh City on saturday (but was registered as a trialist) so may be waiting to hear the outcome of that before deciding....also he looked quite solid

I heard he was training with the Rose. Are they not trying to sign a striker from Edinburgh City

Rose have been priced out the market for steven clee, city have put a £5000 price tag on him. Truth is the rose are struggling financially at the moment so could be a long hard season for them.

I heard they were sighn ing Haddington keeper Chris Hill,as Gary Maley heads to Fauldhoose.

Wrong striker from City and they want double the amount you have quoted. Was at the Rose AGM and have seen the accounts definatly not loaded but im not worried about struggling financially.

The truth lies somewhere in between, gentlemen.... and why shouldn't City demand a realistic price for top players when you hear large fees being bandied about the Juniors for middling talent?

if we sign joe mbu i will be SHOCKED. the guy is not good enough. nothing against him at all but he will cost us too many goals.

I've seen Joe Mbu & the centre half you signed from Arniston - IMO i think Joe Mbu is head & shoulders above him. A left sided, centre half with genuine pace is very hard to come by.

Joe Mbu is murder! I have never seen him have a good game. I agree he has pace but i haven't seen him play as a left centre half either.

Joe Mbu is left footed. Porbably plays right centre half to accomodate others? but he is a left sided centre half. Like I said in another post, he had a good game when he didn't give Carrigan a kick of the ball when whitburn beat Linlithgow 2 nil.

I would have him at Bonnyrigg in a second, dont get me wrong I know he's not the best footballer, but I reckon he's a decent defender with good pace and strength, who will not get bullied by forwards.

When was that? Every time ive seen him play against the Rose he has tried to mark Herdy and got nowhere near him.

I've watched him in every game this season and I hope that you do sign him, he has cost us goals all season and is nowhere near as good a player as he thinks he is.

If he fucks up which is often he feigns injury and blames everyone but himself, if he can change his attitude and get back to the way he was when we first signed him he will do ok, but hes a billy big time player and I can't see that changing.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but we must be talking about two different people. "feigns injury" I’ve seen Joe run through & over guys. Don’t know about his attitude – but has always seemed a really down to earth guy IMO
