Im posting on behave of my mum. Her ebay and hotmail have been hacked and she needs help. On her ebay the hacker bid on 60 random pair of Puma and Nike shoes but she has hopefully sorted that part. She has also remoeved her card from ebay thus stopping the hacker from getting her money. Now, she needs her hotmail account back but the hacker has changed the password and possibly changed the secret quetion. Is there anything at all she can do to get her account back?

Not too sure on the Hotmail question. What i would recommend though is that if your mum uses her hotmail email account as her main email account the Hacker will have access to her Emails and possibly any registration emails that your mum may have stored in her Email account.

If she uses internet banking, online credit card accounts, clubby book accounts and anything else you wouldnt want anyone dabbling with that they may have access/passwords too, she should get online and make the necessary changes ASAP.

Maybe this has already been done. Just a heads up wink.gif

If he has changed the password and secret question, theres nothing she can do to get it back.

Tony Starks is correct.

Because MS give people Hotmail for free, they're not interested if an account gets hacked.

Set up a new account, e-mail all her contacts saying that it's a new account, why, and to ignore anything coming from the old one. Then make sure there's nothing financial or personal linked to the old address.

Contact microsoft. They will be able to get your account back.

No they won't.

Well, yes, they'll technically be able to do it, but they won't.
