Check this one out, this is the one i bought in America and i love it.
The photo quality is very good and even though it has loads of features it is very easy to use.

Check out the video.

Don't be a tube and buy a camera that has 10 megapixels and a shit zoom.

You don't need anything over 4 or 5 megapixels unless you're printing huge A1 posters, better to get one with about 4 or 5 megapixels and with good image quality (especially a good optical zoom - 3x is pish and digital zoom is shite).
Reina
It really depends what you want it for, how much you're willing to spend etc.

I am no camera expert but my 10mp camera is excellent and the zoom is as good as i will ever need and anything i have ever printed has been of good quality.
A choice between a 4 /5 mp or a 10mp camera i would choose the 10mp everytime.

Any camera enthusiast worth their salt will tell you exactly the same as I have.

There is no need for a 10MP camera unless you're printing posters or anything like that - there's no advantage gained in 10MP over 5MP for your basic A4, 5x7 or 4x6 photographs.

If it's got "good quality" then fair enough if that's all you're looking for, but you could have got good quality in a 4MP or 5MP camera for a far cheaper price than a 10MP one.

The TSV on QVC is a 10MP camera and wireless printer. Only a 3x optical zoom though. Not saying it's a good buy, not saying it's a bad buy, just letting you know. This is what I've got - Canon S3IS, FWIW. The big optical zoom and the image stabilisation feature are superb.
Reina
This is the one we bought and it's fantastic.

I will echo what Gaz has said. It really depends what you want to do with your camera and what your expectations are. Megapixels DO NOT make a good camera. What really matters is the optical zoom and the lens quality. Casio's Exilim range are very good these days and affordable, Canon have some very good compacts, as do Nikon. FWIW I'd only select a Sony camera if it had a Carl Zeiss lens on it. Panasonics Lumix range is reported to be quite good as well.

I use a Canon EOS 400D.
Reina
Panasonice Lumix is awesome. Has a Leica lens.

Canon Powershot A590 IS
Nikon Coolpix S210 - Nikon don't do any compacts with Optical zoom greater than just 3x.
Sony Cybershot DSC-H10 - Bit bulkier than the rest
Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5
Casio Exilim EX-Z200

To name but a few smile.gif

That's the site I bought our camera on, it was excellent. Good price and the postage was really fast. smile.gif

I bought one of these a couple of weeks ago and it's frackin brilliant. I did have a Powershot G7 which was good but the zoom on my new baby beats it hands down.

dpreview is a good site for checking out camera recommendations by the way.

Very good shout. So long as you don't want manual control over the aperture and shutter settings then I would go for that. Good sized zoom and a wide angle offering as well. Easy point and click stuff. You can get the TZ3 for ~ £140 and use what's left of your budget to bag a few memory cards or some spare batteries.

Having just had my camera lost/nicked, I'm looking at a new one too. For a budget buy play.com are doing a brilliant deal on the Samsung S85 here.

£60 with 8.2 MP (as pointed out, more than enough) and 5x optical zoom. Brilliant deal.
