David Craig was pictured in one of the papers this week signing for a junior side. Can't recall which one.

Colin Scott came out of retirement very briefly to help Gretna out of a crisis and has since returned into retirement. He's a driving instructor now.

Derek Soutar was signing for someone down South according to this morning's Daily Record but I read it in the sandwich shop and can't remember who.

Kevin Cuthbert and Bryn Halliwell are both training with us this week with a view to winning a contract. So is former Aberdeen keeper Ryan Esson.

Yeah I took David Craig off 20 mins ago - not sure how it was still there for you to add! He signed for Arthurlie.

Bobby Barr appeared as a trialist for Montrose against St Johnstone yesterday, so maybe one to keep an eye on. Also the released Aberdeen 'keeper Greg Kelly is only on non-contract terms with Saints, so will probably rejoin your list within a few weeks once Alan Main is fit again.

Quite a few additions and removals today - would be easier if clubs were a bit more open about who they'd canned. Still not found any of the young Rangers players shown the door. And none from Celtic either?

Not that I've seen - he seems to be training with them until he proves his fitness.

Morton have a Chris (?) Smith on trial at the moment who is a former Rangers player. From the sound of things, he was released in the summer.

Yep, there's been a Chris Smith at Ibrox for 3 years now.

First time I've been on here
It was in the papers t'other day that he has been asked to prove his fitness before getting a full contract. The player said that he was almost back to be able to train fully with the first team.

You are correct by the way. McCann turned down a "very good offer" for a new contract and signed for Morecambe a few weeks ago. He wasn't released. Stephen Grindlay also turned down an offer to stay in order to join Ayr United. He was never on the list either.

We released six players without making them an offer:
