I downloaded the kits and logos for the Spl and all SFL teams and International teams but how do i install it unsure.gif

Any help would be appreciated smile.gif

Unzip or UnRAR them to the folder

C://Program Files/SportsInteractive/Football Manager 2006/data/graphics/pictures

After youre in pictures folder there will be a folder named "kits" and one named "logos".
Kits go in "kits" folder (obvious) and logos go in "logos". This is also were you put facepacks (....pictures/players)

Hope that helps laugh.gif

I am also trying to do this, but I am having some difficulty. When I download the patches it asks where i want to save. I have been saving in documents. When I try and send them to:

C://Program Files/SportsInteractive/Football Manager 2006/data/graphics/pictures

It says this is not a valid path. huh.gif

Do I go into the game itself and then try and load through the editor option?

Nightmare. Any further help would be appreciated.

Are you unRAR/unzipping them first?

You need to have winrar or winzip installed. Most PCs already have winzip but winrar us much easier to us.

If you open the folder using winRAR a window will come up like this:
[attachmentid=6870]

Select the folder which contains kits etc. and click the button at the top of that window that says extract to and select C://Program files.... blah blah blah (the one posted above)

That should hopefully help, if it doesnt i am officially useless and you should consult someone else for help laugh.gif

Click browse and select the C://Program Files .......etc. from there ? unsure.gif

This is doing my head in now. I have downloaded Winzip and it has successfully unzipped files to:

However, when I go into FM and start new game the Badges are not there. AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. mad.gif

I know. In you game, go to preferences, and untick the box which says

Use Skin Cache smile.gif

This box MUST be unticked for skins, badges, kits etc to work

EDIT after this close FM down then open up again and that SHOULD be it

Qos_75, I had this problem as well but it was simple. Change the skin to something that has 'right' in the name, I can't remember the exact name but it has 'right' on the end.

The it should work, post how it goes.

Still no luck.

Okay this is what I have done.

1) Downloaded the skins and unzipped them to:

C:\Program files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2005\data\graphics\pictures\clubs\scotland (As stated in the read-only file that comes with the download)

2) I have then loaded up FM and in preferences, unticked the skins. I have also done this in FM 'Editor'.

3) Closed FM down

4) Reload FM

5) I then go to preferences to upload the 'new' skins. However it does not show the 'new' skin as an option. It shows Metalic, Metalic right etc.

This is where I am tearing my hair out, as I have downloaded and unzipped according to the read only files, but when it comes to install, nada. sad.gif I have also tried 2 different types of club badges, downloads and still nothing.

If you're trying to install them in FM2006, you'll have to unzip them to the Football Manager 2006 folder, rather than 2005.

Not to worry. I have now got the rotated badges all the Scottish kits and have just downloaded the latest patch, with the data. 6:03 or something. My FM experience, is now going to get a lot better. Pitty I could not transfer my last Morton team across. sad.gif

Decided to start a game as Scotland manager and managed a decent 1-1 draw in Austria in my first match in charge. Barry Ferguson scored after brilliant play for debutan Steven Hammell and Darren Fletcher.

Next up was Italy at Hampden and I got to 0-0 at Half Time with Craig Gordon making some outrageous saves. Second half Pirlo scored a free-kick and they held on even though Barry Nicholson had a header cleared off the line.

After that, managed a fine 3-0 win in Norway when I got pummelled for 90 minutes. Gary Caldwell, Darren Fletcher and Derek Riordan with the goals through counter attacking up the left, Hammell with the three assists.

Sitting 4th in the Qualifying group with six points, four behind Norway in the playoff spot with two games left, Belarus and Slovenia.

Decided to go Porto, and do a more adventurous Vladimir Romanov to them - every player has been sold or released, being replaced by 36 Scottish senior players, and 18 Scottish under 19's, while making a profit of £18 million. Things are going well in the league, with my only defeat coming away at Sporting Lisbon, but I'm struggling in Europe. Finishing bottom of my Champions League group (with Liverpool, Ajax and Werder Bremen) is a real possibility. sad.gif
codfish
Just finished my Champions League group campaign, and it went right down to the wire. To qualify for the knock-out stage, I had to beat Ajax in the Amsterdam ArenA and hope that Liverpool could stop Werder Bremen from winning. As long as I matched Liverpool's result, I was in the UEFA Cup. I took the lead after 16 seconds thanks to Colin Nish, but goals from Kléberson and Klass-Jan Huntleaar had Ajax ahead at half time. Nish levelled things after 69 minutes, but it looked like I was UEFA Cup-bound, until Garry O'Connor scored in the 4th minute of stoppage time to send me into the last 16 of the Champions League. It was a bit of revenge, as Ajax came from 1 behind at the Estádio de Dragão earlier in the campaign to beat me 2-1, with both goals coming in second half stoppage time biggrin.gif

In the league I'm sitting joint 2nd, 11 points behind Sporting Lisbon (who have a 100% record), although I have a game in hand. Also, in the Portuguese Cup I hammered non-league Idanhense 9-0 away from home in the Fourth Round, and face Second Division Casa Pia away in the next round.

Also, my B team are 8 points clear at the top of their Second Division group, and could end up in the Portuguese Second Leage next year, and my under 19's are 12 points clear at the top of their league - who said that Scottish players are useless? laugh.gif
SimonLichtie
Coddy - is it possible for your B and A side to end up in the same division? If so, this ever happened in real life?
Neefie Noodle
As far as I know that no "B" in any league can

1 - Play in the Top Division or the same division as the "A" team

2- Play in any cup competitions.

My wages aren't that big, still got more money available, just made good profits on players i.e £200k profit on Gordon Greer and £500k on Willie McLaren to Man City then getting him back on loan 1 week later

Do you not use real player or something?

Yep I use real players.

It might be because of that slash he has on the 'o' in his name, which is why 'Gaardsoe' might not bring up any results.

Try West Brom to see if he is there.

Think Gaardsoe is now at Ipswich in real life if I'm remembering correctly.

Nearly finished my first season with St Johnstone...sitting top 8 points clear of county with 5 games left

Scotland has 35 goals in 32 games and Martin Hardie and Winter have been excellent in the midfield.

Signed Willie McLaren, Neil McGregor, Eddie Malone, Chris Innes and Brian Carrigan to add a bit of depth... ooo, also kenny arthur as back up to glennon after selling Cuthbert.

Start of April and no new contract offer yet rolleyes.gif

I'm into my second season, fluking my way into the group stages of the Uefa Cup.

I've played 3 out of my 4 games, and I have no points, Boavista also have no points and I play them at Starkies soon.

I've get £1.7M in the bank, but i've got a transfer budget of 3k (originally 19k, but I brought in a couple of guys)

Beat Boavista 2-1. But it wasn't easy.

In the half an hour, I had to take off both my strikers - one with a serious injury, and the other with 51% condition. 5 minutes before half time, one of the strikers I put on had to go off with an injury, so i put a winger up front, and put on a central mid in his place. 40 minutes in, and i've used all my subs. Just to take the piss, they get a penalty in injury time, then I, somehow, managed to score through Pat Clarke on 70 minutes. The striker who went on in the first half. With 15 minutes to go, the winger who had gone up front also picked up an injury! So i'm down to 10 men, with one striker left, chasing a win against a European Class team. Two minutes before time, Pat Clarke smashes a low cross into the bottom corner!

As long as Boavista don't beat Valencia, I won't finish bottom of my group, despite being beaten 5-1, twice.

Quite simple, I toggled about with my new contract offer so that I had more of a transfer budget and less of a wage budget.

Also sold a couple of my guys for very large profits!
