Superb game! Sitting top of and league and beat Morton 5-1 in the challenge cup , Keano got a hat-trick after morton took the lead! biggrin.gif

Kean has scored 9 , Mehmet 7 and Sutton 6 cool.gif

I put the magic dog in as the scotland manager and she beat Austira away 2-0 in the friendly. Up next Italy at hampden ph34r.gif

I love the game , but the transfer market is fucked up.

Celtic tried to get Broadfoot of me for £45,000 i laughed at them and gave him a 5 year deal and a minimum release clause of £1.2 m ohmy.gif

anyway off to the game then ill be playing after i watch the mighty buds in real life action

Just got it biggrin.gif

My ICT team has gone through a terrible period of play recently. Latest run of results include

Aberdeen 3 - 2 W
Rangers 0 - 1 L
Pars 1 - 0 W
Hibs 3 - 3 D
Well 3 - 1 W
Killie 2 - 2 D
Falkirk 2 - 0 W
Livi 0 - 1 L
Celtic 0 - 1 L
Hearts 1 - 4 L
Dundee Utd 2 - 2 D
Aberdeen 0 - 3 L
Pars 1 - 2 L
Hamilton 2 - 0 (Cup) W
Hibs 3 - 3 D

So thats no wins in 7 league games for me now sad.gif

Alan Morgan has been sent off twice in 3 games. I have signed a couple of other players including 2 highly rated Swedish midfielders. Still playing 4 - 4 - 2 Counter but may need to change if things don't change soon as I am starting to be sucked back into the bottom half. In 6th at the minute but things between 11th and 4th are very tight. Separated by about 5 points. Signed up most of my team on new contracts - Ian Black had attracted the interest of Preston and Leceister but he pledged his future to me so happy about that but results need to pick up soon.
Twynholm
have started my second game as i got queens on the verge of relgation with only 2 wins and the season was in late january. now i have put in a training program which is working wonders for all especially rudd and robertson and have got 8/10 players in the squad on full time contracts which really aids them for development fitness and training wise as obviously u can give them triple the tasks to do. is impressive yet still has errors. such as beattie, rudd etc still at queens although they have been released. and tommy english as a striker. 9 league game and and i have won all my home games and lost all my away games my tactics are 5-3-2!

Continued where I left off in the demo, 3rd Round Scottish Cup game v Hearts at Tynecastle. Managed to keep their big named stars at bay, despite 3 of my key players being injured. Finished 0-0. Got them back to Broadwood, with 5 players injured and the rest extremely tired. Still 0-0 after 120 minutes, with some of my players down to 35% We both scored our first penalties, then both missed 7 each, then Stevie Masterton steps up and puts me through the Round 4 v Aberdeen biggrin.gif

And that's realistic because...... blink.gif

After finishing 4th in my first season in charge of St Mirren, I've decided to take a break from that game, and have started one as St Johnstone manager. First task was to strengthen the attacking midfield options, bringing Allan Jenkins in for £35,000. Out have went Keiran McAnespie to Morton for £5,000, and Scott Paterson to Gretna for £4,000. Jason Scotland has been transfer-listed in an attempt to fund some deadline-beating signings.

On the field, I'm holding a 100% record after 4 competitive games, beating East Fife at home in the Challenge Cup (second round tie against St Mirren at home to come), Hamilton away in the league, Gretna at home in the League Cup (second round tie against Kilmarnock away to come), and Dundee at home in the league. biggrin.gif

My team at the moment is...

-------------Cuthbert
Mensing James Campbell Dyer
Stevenson Jenkins Janczyk Sheerin
----------MacDonald Milne

Subs - Paston, Rutkiewicz, Sheridan, Scotland, Dobbie.

Come on ye Saintees! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif ph34r.gif

Game is too addictive. I was 'going to bed' at 12 last night after MOTD but somehow managed to stay on playing it for another 2 hours! blink.gif

After that 3 - 3 draw with Hibs my dismal run continued as I managed to pick up a pathetic 1 point in the next 5 games. Now my early season form had well and truely gone and I was now in the bottom 4 with Livi, Hibs and Motherwell with just 5 points seperating me from Livi in 9th and 12th respectively. The pressure was on!

In the build up to the crunch game with Livi Lambert came out with some mind game tactial speak about how he was looking forward to beating me to which I replied that he was perfectly capable of taking Livi into Div 1. This caused a lot of the Livi players to become worried that perhaps Lambert wasn't the man to save the club and it inspired my team to a wonderful 3 - 1 vitory over the Lions in front of the TV cameras biggrin.gif The revival was on!

Or not as it turned out. The teams new found confidence was shattered by three straight defeats to Hearts, Celtic and Dundee Utd. A change of formation was called for. Remebering the classic 4 - 1- 3 - 2 from CM 00/01 I switched to that and my team was set up as follows

Brown
Proctor Dods Munro Golly
Keogh
Wilson Black Juanjo
Brewster Bayne

Out went underperforming Alan Morgan and Juanjo was criticised in the press for his poor performances but he replied saying he would strive to improve for the club so he was allowed to continue.

Using the full backs to get forward and fire crosses into the target men of Bayne and Brewster worked wonders as goals started to come but the defence still conceded too many goals. Keogh was dropped and Vincze came in to bolster the midfeild and sit in front of the defence and hold the ball up and slow the game down. The results soon turned and I went on an 8 game unbeaten run before losing 4 - 2 to Livi in the last game of the season. Highlights included a memorable 4 - 3 win over Rangers at one point I was 4 - 1 up! ohmy.gif Another sweet moment was the 4 - 0 drubbing of Hibs who sacked Mowbary and replaced him with Davie Hay who then went about insulting me but I had the last laugh! biggrin.gif

See the results below

[attachmentid=4301]

I ended the season in 8th place with the 3rd best goalscoring record but the 2 worst defensive record ph34r.gif Graham Bayne finished as 2nd top goalscorer in Scotland behind Hartson with 24 goals! laugh.gif

[attachmentid=4302]

Team stats can be seen below smile.gif

[attachmentid=4303]
[attachmentid=4304]

Russell Duncan and Richie Hart left in 500k transfers to Burnley and Wolves (I think) and I was awarded 500k for finishing 8th and recieved 400k for the new season. I signed a deal at ICT until 2009 and have a wage budget of 35k p/w and a modest transfer kitty of 450k. In has come Josep Skoko and some promising youth players including a young Spanish midfielder labelled as the new Xavi. Hugo Pinga is my big hope for the future as he looks a right good player. Wyness returned to Stade De ICT on a free from Hearts after agreeing to take a cut in his wages and reutrn to one of his favourite clubs.

Pre season results have been mixed. A 3 - 0 drubbing by County offset by a 3 - 0 defeat of the Saintees, 3 - 1 win at Cardiff and a 2 - 0 win over Livi. Confidence is growing in the ICT camp where although we are expected to just survive relegation, a top 6 position is the target cool.gif

Started a new game... currently playing a 3-4-3 but I think I'm going to go for a 3-5-2 soon as I'm losing games in the midfield. wink.gif

I signed Andy Thomson from Falkirk, he scored on his debut before getting injured and thats him just comming back now. smile.gif Also signed Sean Dillon from Kilmarnock on a 6 month loan, his stats are good but he plays poor so he is warming the bench just now with Maxwell taking his place and putting in some good performances. biggrin.gif

I have a bit of a injury crisis about 5 or 6 players injured but they are all starting to get full fitness now. smile.gif

Pre-Season got a great result drew 2-2 with Wolves after being 2-0 down at half time.

Challenge cup I beat St. Johnstone 3-2 away from home despite being 1-0 down, Sutton scored 2 with Adam pitching one in as well.

I then got beat from the Fake Saints in the league at home 3-1.

But we showed some great boune back ability to beat Clyde 2-0 with Kean and Sutton scoring in the first half.

We then lost to the league leaders Dundee, 2-1 at home but we deserved to take a draw at least Dundee's forward line was far far too fast for the likes of John Potter.

To Be Continued....

The Saintees are SPL-bound! biggrin.gif

I went into my last three games 1 point behind Dundee, and with me having trips to Paisley, Dumfries and Brechin to face in comparison to their home games against Queens, Clyde and Ross County, I thought my chances had gone. Two 0-0 draws, coupled with a win and a loss for Dundee left me needing to beat Brechin, while hoping that Ross County could take something from Dens Park....

I won 4-0......

.....Ross County won 1-0 biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

That's the first time I've won promotion in my first season since Championship Manager became Football Manager, and I couldn't even manage that with St Mirren dry.gif
djchapsticks
I am currently in a 3 way battle for promotion with the Saintees and Clyde. I was looking bound for mid-table obscurity and a place on the dole line, I'd fallen into 5th place and around 10 points off the lead. I now sit in 3rd only 2 points from the top after a good sucession of results. I have lost only one game in the last 9.

Signed Kevin Nicol on a free from Hibs at New Year and put Livi out of the Scottish Cup 1-0 to set up a 4th round draw against Dundee Utd at Love Street.

Played 22: Won 11 Drawn 5 Lost 6, even with Kean as a longish term injury (just coming back now), Ramon Pereira and Billy Mehmet have kept us ticking over. biggrin.gif
MarreZ
Finished my first season and came 4th with the buddies, Ross county won the league by 8 points, Saintees 2nd, Dundee 3rd. I did however manage to win the Scottish cup smile.gif

I had the easiest run - 3rd round Stranraer, 4th Round, Gretna (toughie), 5th Round - QOTS, Semi Final - Dundee (last minute winner) - Final Hearts. The final i thought id lose, however Hearts goalie got sent off in 11 minutes and they didnt have a substitute goalie, so i managed to win it 4-2. smile.gif

as a result, my fortunes have changed, europe this year, players values have gone up, but the star attraction since i sold John Sutton for 1.2m before xmas, has been Billy Mehmet, 20 goals in 22 games after not scoring in 10 games before that. (sound familiar? smile.gif )

Its allowed me to attract a higher calibre of player since we are europe bound - heres the current team, with what they cost me. Its very cosmopolitan looking smile.gif

Ah Luis Tevenet! Always a superstar in CM3, you could pick him up for about £1.3m and he would only want £90p/w wages. He would sign for just about anyone too. Not picky, and a great signing.

Those were the days. Tevenet, N'Diefi, Saviola (when he was 16) etc.

Just finshed my 3rd season in Portugal, finished 6th and entered the inter toto cup. Have been offered the Sporting job, very tempted as my star striker who i had on loan for 2 years will not sign and he has signed for another team on loan, the board will not increase the ground as the average gate is 900, no one wants to sign due too my poor training ground.

Still not had a proper shot at this game yet, only managed the first few games.

Being Clyde, I signed some 'keeper from Man U (Still playing Jarvie ohmy.gif ), a defender from Man U, a striker (Cooper) from Man U, Finnbogason from Celtic, Barnard from Tottenham and McStay from Falkirk (all on loan, except the 'keeper).

I played Brechin twice (cup then league), then depressingly Airdrie twice (cup then league). Won all four, the two league games proving tougher than the cup ones.

I then gubbed Stranraer in the league before beating Dunfermline 2-0 in the cup. I've just beaten St Mirren 1-0 in the league.

Williams is some player, scored about 10 goals so far ohmy.gif I've totally pissed off Leishman and McPherson laugh.gif laugh.gif Oh, and the biggest fanny in Scottish footy - Ian Campbell.

McGregor is also cracking, I constantly get bids from Aberdeen and Championship sides. Overall, I've rated most of the players well, other than Bradley, who's a tad over-rated.

SPL life is tough. ohmy.gif

6 league games into the season, and yet to register a point. On the plus side, I have beaten Stirling in the League Cup, and face Inverness away in the 3rd round. unsure.gif

I've decided to play more defensive now, and have moved from a 4-4-2 to a 4-5-1 formation for my match against 11th place Falkirk next week. Maybe I can start to pick some points up.... unsure.gif

I finally got offered another job, Espanol ... in the argentinian 2nd division, i played 4 games with them, losing 3, and winning 7-1 in the other, no wonder they were bottom of the league, they didnt have a goalie laugh.gif

It's not difficult to use, but the system I'm using sees a massive drop in stats when a player is out injured. Savo Milne was out for a month, which saw his attacking stats plummet - his finishing went from 12 to 7 in that time blink.gif

It does seem to be improving the players though when they stay fit, which is nice to see smile.gif
