Game is too addictive. I was 'going to bed' at 12 last night after MOTD but somehow managed to stay on playing it for another 2 hours!
After that 3 - 3 draw with Hibs my dismal run continued as I managed to pick up a pathetic 1 point in the next 5 games. Now my early season form had well and truely gone and I was now in the bottom 4 with Livi, Hibs and Motherwell with just 5 points seperating me from Livi in 9th and 12th respectively. The pressure was on!
In the build up to the crunch game with Livi Lambert came out with some mind game tactial speak about how he was looking forward to beating me to which I replied that he was perfectly capable of taking Livi into Div 1. This caused a lot of the Livi players to become worried that perhaps Lambert wasn't the man to save the club and it inspired my team to a wonderful 3 - 1 vitory over the Lions in front of the TV cameras

The revival was on!
Or not as it turned out. The teams new found confidence was shattered by three straight defeats to Hearts, Celtic and Dundee Utd. A change of formation was called for. Remebering the classic 4 - 1- 3 - 2 from CM 00/01 I switched to that and my team was set up as follows
Brown
Proctor Dods Munro Golly
Keogh
Wilson Black Juanjo
Brewster Bayne
Out went underperforming Alan Morgan and Juanjo was criticised in the press for his poor performances but he replied saying he would strive to improve for the club so he was allowed to continue.
Using the full backs to get forward and fire crosses into the target men of Bayne and Brewster worked wonders as goals started to come but the defence still conceded too many goals. Keogh was dropped and Vincze came in to bolster the midfeild and sit in front of the defence and hold the ball up and slow the game down. The results soon turned and I went on an 8 game unbeaten run before losing 4 - 2 to Livi in the last game of the season. Highlights included a memorable 4 - 3 win over Rangers at one point I was 4 - 1 up!

Another sweet moment was the 4 - 0 drubbing of Hibs who sacked Mowbary and replaced him with Davie Hay who then went about insulting me but I had the last laugh!

I ended the season in 8th place with the 3rd best goalscoring record but the 2 worst defensive record

Graham Bayne finished as 2nd top goalscorer in Scotland behind Hartson with 24 goals!

Russell Duncan and Richie Hart left in 500k transfers to Burnley and Wolves (I think) and I was awarded 500k for finishing 8th and recieved 400k for the new season. I signed a deal at ICT until 2009 and have a wage budget of 35k p/w and a modest transfer kitty of 450k. In has come Josep Skoko and some promising youth players including a young Spanish midfielder labelled as the new Xavi. Hugo Pinga is my big hope for the future as he looks a right good player. Wyness returned to Stade De ICT on a free from Hearts after agreeing to take a cut in his wages and reutrn to one of his favourite clubs.
Pre season results have been mixed. A 3 - 0 drubbing by County offset by a 3 - 0 defeat of the Saintees, 3 - 1 win at Cardiff and a 2 - 0 win over Livi. Confidence is growing in the ICT camp where although we are expected to just survive relegation, a top 6 position is the target
