So I moved to the Premiership and the board have basically told me to start preparing for next season and improve the squad for my second assault on the Championship as I will no doubt go down....I was happy with this, as my main prerogative was to bump up my coffers to the tune of £29.5m TV cash! The most I spent was £1.5m on a young Crystal Palace lad for the future (my record transfer to date)
However, I seem to be having the dream debut season.....

Had Derby in 18th, won vs Boro away and Blackburn at home, as well as an FA cup 3rd round penalty shootout win against Charlton, then it froze ><

Happened to me - won the third, then got promoted to the first via the playoffs. Was a bit annoying.

Yeah no worries mate. It WAS a cracking game, it fucking crashed tonight when my PC shut down whilst it was saving. I had just finished season in 9th and was looking forward to a new beginning. Ah well, pick myself up and start again I guess!

Man City start with a 2 year plan of winning the EPL. In season 1 I came 5th and season 2 I came 2nd, 1 point off top and they didn't renew my contract as iwas making no effort to meet the long term goals of the club.

Anyway, I started a game with Albion Rovers and won promotion in my first season, beating Montrose and East Fife to 1st place by 1 point. In the Second Division, the board just chucked money at me, I couldn't believe it - a starting budget of £317k and £5.15k to spend on wages. This was compared to a transfer budget of £0 and a wage budget of just over £1k in the 3rd Division.
I've released a load of deadwood and brought in a few great players, including Nastja Ceh (55k) Billy McKay (Leicester, free) Lewis Mackle (Hearts, free) Bradley Jones (Coventry, free) Stephen McGinn (St Mirren, 95k) Stevie Masterton, Mikey McGowan (Clyde, 65k & 70k) and Alex Williams (Ayr, 4k)
Just finished my first game in the Division Two, beating Alloa 3-1 (Billy McKay 2, Tommmy Coyne) and still have £205k in the kitty. Happy with my squad though, wont be making any more transfers
The patches can normally be found on the official FM site forums. Basically you donwload it, then install and it will automatically upgrade your game. Theres only been one patch so far (i think) for FM 08 but it's a must have due to the large amount of bugs in the intial release. I'd imagine the next one will contain all the January transfers.
Research is done for the January update. No doubt the patch will follow in due course. 
Good, although if recent years are to go by the January Ttransfer Window patch will not be out for a couple more weeks.

The number of goals ruled out for offise is beyond a joke. In a 3-1 win, both my Barca team and Deportivo had 3 disallowed each.
Lost it 1-0...

It's working out quite well. Last season I took the young goalie Calum Reidford on loan and he was immense. I tried to get him again for this season, but he was sold to Cardiff or someone like that.
im curently Scotland manager in season 2046(i think) and im ranked 3rd in the world and im in the European championship i get sweden,portugal and some other team so i finsh with 6 out of 9 points and then get Ireland in the quaters which i one and then get Turkey in the semis which i win played Italy who were ranked 1st in the world and lose on penalties.

Two seasons, two triples and got to the semis of the UEFA cup.
In my last game mcdonald scored 4 against rankgers in the scottish cup final
.Got the arsenal job when Pat Rice's contract expired.
Brought in Dani Alves, barzagli, jimenez, reyes.
Done crap however, kept losing out to late goals, and lost 4-1 to Blackburn.
Beat Aston Villa 4-0 away but Dani Alves and Robin Van Persie both tore their ligaments in the game. So I resigned on the 27th September first season. Man I'm impatient.
Got the brazil job and then the Roma job.
Won my first six serie A games and then drew with AC Milan.

Gerard Rossi, Stuart Kelly, Wojciech Jurak, Robbie Foy, Paul Lunan, Tomasz Koziel and Steven Canning, Stuart Kettlewell, Mick Dunlop, Alan Trouten and Scott Murray from Queen's Park. Also got Keigan Ayers (who is shite!) and Damon Gray on loan from Hibs as my parent club.

Got a good run in the Leauge Cup, beat Kilmarnock 2-0 at Broadwood and just seen off Aberdeen on penaltys.

I have started a new game with Forfar. Fuck they are pish when you get them, except for Rattray. Still a few deals in the loans market and I am doing not too badly. I am now Hibs feeder club and a few of their under 19's are superb. Currently in fourth place with 14 games played. I drew Morton in the 3rd round of the cup, at home. Managed to get the Dunfermline U19 keeper on loan as well. he is shit hot. I fancy the Loons to sneak up through the play-offs.
I've never once been able to get a 'parent club'. The board always knocks it back, yet it seems everyone who posts here gets one no bother.

Except Jamie Murphy usually played ahead of Kostadinov, and Lee Robinson instead of Davie McGurn in goal.
Only half decent signings I got for my start to the SPL were Chris Porter and Lars Stubhaug.
Failed in a bid to get Peter Mate, who was immense on my previous game.
Won promotion to the SPL in my first season with this team pretty much the whole way through...

After two seasons in the Second Division I won promotion via the play-offs and the board tell me I'm not meeting long term ambitions.If that wasn't bad enough, there was another bug which meant that I didn't get any league games the following season - only cup ones - and I wasn't even promoted. Four seasons down the pan like that, what a fucking waste of time
Just at the start of my second season as Falkirk. Entered the Intertoto Cup, which I managed to get through. UEFA Cup clash with Fenerbahce to look forward to now. Should hopefully bring in a few bucks.
Darren Barr and Scott Arfield are both wanting to leave, but they are under contract until 2011 and are worth £1.2m. No danger am I seeling them on the cheap. They still appear to be performing anyway, so happy days.

Who are you going and what league are you in? If you are doing really well and are in a top division you might struggle.
