Despite the fact my greatest achievement in football has been winning the Second Division at the third time of asking, Scotland have just given me the manager's job

I'm at around February in my first season of my Stirling game, and Kostadinov finally signed on loan during the transfer window. He's done alright, scoring 4 in 8 so far.
Currently 4th in Division 1, scarily just six points off the top spot, currently held by, er, QOS. The bottom two are St Johnstone and Hamilton.
All the other divisions are pretty much panning out like their real life counterparts though.
I don't know if anyone else noticed this, or if they've fixed it for 2008, but in FM07, its quite amazing the number of times "We must get a result here, no excuses" works, when you're losing at half time. I would say about 2/3s of the time I use it, if not more, I win the game.

I wish there were more of these options at the start of the game. I use 'We can win this' practically every game.
The 'I expect a win' is a risk not worth taking, while the 'wish luck' one I only ever really use if I'm away to an SPL side in the cup. Similarly, I only ever use the 'for the fans' one if it's a big derby game.
There should be other ones like "Come on boys, kick the shit out of this team", or "The Braveheart Speech"

Right, i've done everything. I'm in year 2020 and i've won everything there is to win. Just want to have a bit of fun with it now. How do i add money to my account? Used the editor but it doesn't update it at all. Any ideas?
Have you won everything? What foreign leagues have you won in, how many languages have you got on your profile?
On one of the old CMs (2001 perhaps), I managed to rack up something like English, Russian, Spanish, Italian, French, Croatian, Turkish, and also I think, Japanese. How many have you got?
I should add that on my current FM game, Ive only got Korean and English, but Ill get that sorted.

Falkirk game is doing down the pan already! Still not won a game, defeats to Gretna, Celtic, Rangers (was 4-1 down brought it back to 4-3 then lost 5-3) and Dundee Utd. A draw to St.Mirren, I did however beat Stirling Albion in the cup.

Generally, I use "Expect a win" if I'm at home, and "We can win this" when I'm away.

I've started as Dumbarton in the 3rd. Second friendly against Whitburn was a resounding 8-0 spanking.
And Andy Geggen now holds the dubious honour of being the only player in any of my Champ Man/Footy Man games over the years to get a final match score of 1.

There must be something about friendlies against Scottish non league sides in FM2008.
I played Annan at home in a friendly with my reserve side, which was made up of mostly fringe players with a couple of youngsters. We lost 13-0. At home.

On FM07 I have him as a 31 year old in my mid-table SPL Clyde team, he was very consistent, and is still making quite alot of appearances. He is one of three players left in my first team squad who are not regens.
I guess he has gone down somewhat in the researchers estimations.
I was Scotland manager for roughly 5 months, in that time I played 6 games. 5 World Cup Qualifiers, and a friendly against Cameroon.
Beat Cameroon 3-0, lost to Croatia and Northern Ireland. Drew with Romania and Holland, and beat Luxembourg 5-0. Its a bollocks record, Scotland are 5th in a group of 7, that contains Luxembourg, Lichtenstein and Northern Ireland.
When I resigned though, the asked me to reconsider!

Robbie Foy isnt amazing, but is good for free and has got 7 assists for me so far.
I'm not too far into the future on my game, 2013 I think, and the Charity Shield was just contested between Wigan, and Sheffield United.
United won last season's FA Cup by beating Stoke in the final. It's a bit crazy.

I'm still playing 2007, so Dunfermline are still in the Premier.
I'm currently 7th, but a win in my next game can whip me up to 2nd. Only bad note was a 2-1 defeat at Motherwell in the League Cup, and a disappointing 3-2 defeat at home to Celtic.
I did thrash Falkirk 4-1 in the second game of the season at home, and beat them 2-1 away despite being down to 10 men for an hour.
I signed Adam Hammill and Alan O'Brien on loan, but the latter got injured early on and looks like being out for most of his loan deal.
I knocked back a £130,000 bid from Killie for Jim Hamilton

What was I thinking?

I've managed to keep The Shire in Division 2, finishing 8th in my second season. Delighted. My board have just offered me a shiny new contract, and an adjustment to my budgets means I have a transfer kitty of £124k

In my third season I'm aiming for at least a mid-table finish, but sneakily hoping I can get a playoff place.
After eleven games and a shaky start, I'm sitting in 2nd in the league. I started off by drawing my first game, then losing three in a row, but I've won six in a row before losing another one to take me to 19 points, behind Brechin. I'm already comfortably in the playoff zone (7 points separate me and the team in 5th) so hopefully I can sustain the momentum all season
really struggle with one, start in the 2nd with raith and always make the play off's but it trying to attract decent players that stings me and make the play offs twice and didnt getmy contract renewed.
boy that plays for plymouth good old Cherno Samba (if you've played champ before you'll know what i mean!) and ross campbell is a good loan signing from hibs.

I'm near the end of 2013/14 in my UK Super League that I made. Have started off as St. Mirren and put us in the Blue Square Premier....ended up with consecutive promotions into League 1, where I failed in the playoff final.
The next season though I romped it, and gave myself 2 seasons to get into the Premiership...turns out I ran away with the Championship in record fashion in my first year.
Click to view attachmentSo I moved to the Premiership and the board have basically told me to start preparing for next season and improve the squad for my second assault on the Championship as I will no doubt go down....I was happy with this, as my main prerogative was to bump up my coffers to the tune of £29.5m TV cash! The most I spent was £1.5m on a young Crystal Palace lad for the future (my record transfer to date)
However, I seem to be having the dream debut season.....
Click to view attachmentI don't quite know how I am pulling it off, but my team seem to play much like Keegan's Newcastle of the 90's. Many 3-2, 4-3 and even a 5-4 defeat in there, and only about 5 clean sheets all season.
My wage budget is pitiful, considering teams like Stoke and Charlton are offering players around £50-60k a week wages, and my top earner of £13k p/w wouldn't make the top 20 at 18 out of the other 19 clubs.
Look at the scotland game for the game against italy

Into my third season.
Romped the First Division in my first with Dundee. Bought Paatelainen from ICT and got Lennon on loan from Rangers.
Second season started with an 8-0 gubbing at Celtic Park. But I steadied the ship, a 6-1 win at Love Street the turning point. I picked up Chris Riley from Spurs, a good RB and Yantormo from Gretna & Bryson from Killie, cost me £375k. Also Sam Hewson on loan from Man Utd. Also got Smith the keeper from Rangers after he raped me for wages.
I finally guided my team to 7th and we were playing some lovely stuff come the end of the season. Yet that b*****d McKinnon didn't renew my contract. They got Jeffries in. I had them in a great financial position with over £1.5 million in the bank and they let me go.
Gutted.
Spent 6 months without a club getting overlooked for every position I applied for until finally Halifax Town, 21st in the Blue Sq Premier. No money, almost out of business. I've started well tho' 10 points from 12 and hopefully I can make the playoffs.
I play a defensive, direct 4-1-3-2 with the centre midfielder set to AM and using him as a playmaker with two quick striker up top. Seems to work very well for me.
