I'm STILL sticking with Champ Man 01/02 and use a 4-1-3-2 formation, only really works if you have a solid defensive midfielder, creative midfielders and strikers with speed to burn. It's done me well over the years, so can't complain too much

The crowd figures are very inaccurate on FM08.

I averaged little over 1600 during my first season, during which I won the league.

I'm now in December of my second season and I've not had a crowd under 4000 Strangely, crowds also go down for games with Dunfermline.

I'm currently averaging about 6500 (don't know the exact figure). I've only had 3 home games though (and drawn them all )

At Cowden I am averaging around 700 in the 2nd division. For some reason Ross County are unbeatable

What's everyone's best tips for going cold turkey on FM? I'm currently totally addicted to my Elgin game, after two successive 7th placed finishes I pushed up to 5th the next season and just finished 2nd in my 4th season, first leg semi playoff beat Alloa 2-1 at home, but have to get myself off the game at the end of this season. Considering giving the disc to the girlfriend but I know that will lead to me being mocked and also probably a fight at some stage. Any better ideas?

I did start the game nearly 18 months ago, so it's not that bad.....

I started mine about a year ago, started as Clyde, got into the SPL, won the Scottish Cup, into Europe where Shalke just beat me in the KO stages, then I get relegated in 2012 and got the sack. I then went on holiday til now, where I dont have anywhere to go!

Sutton fucking United are the best choise, in the Conference North!

I don't see an FM08 patch there.

I started a game as manager of At Madrid and managed to win La Liga in my first season. I was in need of a right sided wing back, so I managed to snap up Alan Hutton for a snip at £3.5 million.

Won the Uefa cup on penalties against Fiorentina as well.

Just started my 2nd season and managed to sign Anelka from Bolton for £15.25 million. this seasons looking good as I beat Espanyol 7-0 in my second game of the season.

I downloaded the patch.....now what do I do?

Shift it into the 'db' folder.

Then start a new game!

(I realise that means f**k all in regards to your Cowdenbeath game )

have you extracted it then loaded it up?
after that just start up FM08 as normal then when you click on 'new game' a database choice will appear so just select the 8.0.2 patch.

Well this season is going better than the game that crashed! In the old game I was knocked out of both early cup in the first round. This season I am in the quarter finals of the league cup (beat Dundee Utd 4-2 after extra time) and in the final of the challenge cup after this epic match :-
