How do you set up a network game? If someone can tell me I'll be part of it.

You won't need to set it up, Zulu is doing it.

Once its started, Zulu will pass round an IP Address, then you open FM, click "Network" and then put in the IP Address and it connects.

Depending on what I'm doing tonight I might join in.

Once there is 10, we'll get started.

Let's allow Hogmanay to pass first, then hopefully by Monday there will be 10 and I'll set up the 2nd division with all those teams in it.

I'll pm all the players the IP address and we can give it a go, it's new to me too so it should be fun to learn together, so to speak.

One thing, if I set up the network game and change the teams, will you all have to use the editor to set up the same league? I would hope and guess not, only one way to find out I suppose.

A network game is where people play against each other over the internet, basiacally I'll set up a league and peopel will pick a team each to manage and we give it fucking laldy.
Should be a right laugh if we can keep it going.

We'll see what happens over the weekend, first come first serve...I'll run all the scottish leagues in the server so we could technically have a mass game with all leagues in action and anyone playing...not sure how all that would work but f**k it, let's see.

running all the leagues means anyone can get promoted, and if anyone gets sacked, can hopefully get another job.

I would say run all leagues, and also, its easier if everyone is on MSN while the game is being played - it means everyone can stay in touch, and can tell everyone else if they need to go, or if they're going to be away for 5 minutes or whatever.

I would say pass the hosting onto someone else, it guarentees that the game runs smoothly. I know Coddy has 512MB, but I don't know if he's up for hosting it? Anyone else willing?

If I'm the best option for hosting it, I'll do so. As long as it doesn't involver editing the game in any way, that'll be fine (because I really can't be bothered )

One thing though, everyone will need the latest patch (go to The Dugout for the patch) otherwise it won't work. It's a big file, but it sorts out a lot of bugs

Make sure you've got the patch downloaded by then.

It doesn't matter if your not available at that time, you can join at any time, but it will mean you'll miss out on the very start of the game, and possibly have your transfer targets snapped up by others.

I got FM2006 for Christmas and I'm shite at it. Not played the CM series since 4 came out but was more than a bit handy with them previous to that. Went the Binos and was sacked after 18 months...got the Stenny job and not doing so well!

In my 5th season, and Peterhead are finally an SPL club. The squad has been strengthened, and I've played 4 games so far...
