Well finally gotten into the swing of things with Forfar, although I admit i went into the editor and brought in Neil McCallum from Saints and Chris Mackie from Alloa on loan - as per real life

After a less than promosing opening set of fixtures, we're into September and stringing a few wins together - mostly thanks to parent club Dundee Utd sending Greg Cameron and David Goodwillie up on loan for the season.
How'd you get that! Board weren't interested in a feeder club for me
Still though, I won the league

Went on a great run, and was joint top with Morton, but have now lost 3 games in a row and slumped down to 4th.
Just signed Aime Koudou from Kilmarnock, and Kenny Deuchar's loan finished, while Rocco Quinn's ends at the end of the month, when he heads to Everton.

Hope to get my season back on track against Alloa in the Scottish Cup 4th Round.
Big signing : striker Enrique Chiesa from Siena on a free transfer! Pre-contract. He'll be arriving at the end of the season. Will be our best striker by far.
Have now gone on a good run of 3 games - beating Alloa 4-2 in the Scottish Cup followed by 4-0 and 3-0 wins against Livingston and Partick Thistle respectively. Koudou has proved to be an astute signing, scoring 5 in his first 3 games.
Have been drawn against Hibs in the 5th round of the Scottish Cup, and have climbed back up to 2nd in the league, 6 points behind the runaway leaders Morton.

Was on a great run, clawing Morton's lead to 3 points. Then I was royally screwed by a terrible referee who disallowed a perfectly legitimate goal, and allowed two goals for Queens which were both clearly offside!

We lost 3-2.

just recently went on an 18 game unbeaten run in the 2nd with dumbarton with hamilton putting a stop to it. sitting in 3rd place with 5 games left, 8 points clear of peterhead in 5th so its looking like i could at least manage a playoff place
hamilton and queens park are only 5 points ahead of me so i could still challenge for the title, although that is unlikely given that i've only won one of my last four after my great run.

I think it might be something to do with the fact your dumbarton. Tug's training is for full time players, so isn't going to work with a part time club. Thats the only reason i can think of why it wouldn't work for you.

although contrary to real life we are actually good in football manager.
i also managed to get the training working by using a much more complicated method than suggested. hopefully that guy uploads part-time training soon as all the hassle wasn't worth due to only having 5 full time players

Gone back to my Clyde game on 07, finished season 16/17 with a great deal of excitement.
I was in 6th place, behind Inverness CT, on goals scored (only one goal scored at that!) I knew that all I had to do on the last day was get ahead of ICT and I would make it to the Euro Vase, I didn't even have to win.
They were losing 1-0 to Celtic, and I was 3-1 down at home to Rangers with 2 minutes to go, and my young Danish striker scored to make it 3-2, tehy finished at 1-0 putting me into 5th place, and Europe!
Made a couple of signings, but theyre all for the future and lost Ross Rae to Man City on a pre contract.
Went into the 2nd round of the Euro Vase and humped WIT-Georgia 4-1, came back the next day and won the 2nd leg 6-0, and forgot to save the fucker

Never mind, I'm sure I will win easily enough. Bring on Bilbao in round 3

When is the offical patch due out ?
I just got Raith promoted in my first season with them, beating Stirling 6-2 on aggregate in the semi's and Brechin 4-2 in the final.
Signed Steven Bell and he scored 21 goals from midfield and avoided getting kicked in the air by big Marv.

Got a lad from Valencia on loan ( Arizmendi (sp) ) Forsell ( bosman ) Fenin ( 1.5m ) Boab Malcom ( bosman and lol ). There are 12 clubs after Beasley. Some offering 5million, I tought Minty would accept these but he reckons we should hold out for as much money as possible.
I'm targetting a clean sweep in Scotland this year with a last 16 place in the CL.

Was in my third season as Gers boss and, to be perfectly honest, was doing abysmally. I'd sold off a lot of my top players after two straight league wins and tried to go with youth. Alan Hansen was right, you'll win nothing with kids.
Anyway, I was 20 points adrift after drawing about a million games with around a quarter of the season to go when Fulham sacked Lawrie Sanchez. Job offer came in instantly, so I checked out Fulham. 18th in the Prem, but in a very salvageable position and a decent looking squad, so with a heavy heart I said "roon ye" to Minty and a Cottager I became (ooo er missus).
Started off with a draw away to Reading, then beat Wolves 2-1 at the Cottage. Chelsea beat me 1-0 at Stamford Bridge after I dominated, then I pumped Birmingham 5-2 back at our gaff which the fans all had a circular w**k over.
I'm now sitting 15th around 4 points from safety.

Anyone else had this problem?
im in my 4th season with Sunderland. In my second season i narrowly missed out on a uefa cup place and asked for the capacity of the ground to be increased and the board told me it would be increased by 16,000. It took 6 months to complete and when it was done, my attendence never went higher than the previous capacity despite going on to finish 4th and qualify for the champions league. At the end of that season i applied for the capacity to be increased again and the board said they would by 5000 seats and it would take a short time to complete. It was complete by the start of the next season, but my new capacity was only 5000 more than the original capacity and 5000 more than the 16,000, so that 16,000 increase obviously didn't happen!! Bloody annoying. That bug has cost me thousands of quid.

There was a bug in FM 2007 similar to that. Board would say that they were increasing capacity, but whilst work was being carried out the stadium capacity would be cut. You would get a message saying work completed, but the increase never happened and the capacity would stay at the reduced number.
This happened to me almost every season. Ibrox end up down at 25,000

Im personally finding it ridiculously easy for some reason.
Started out Celtic boss signed Evans on loan from Man Utd, Aaritalo, Jozy Altidore(came in Jan), Sergio Mota(came in summer), Gabriel Torje won the treble comofrtrably and got to last 16 of C.L losing out to Lyon 5-2 I think on aggregate.
2nd season was given 4.5m budget ... but after about 5 days there was a boost on it too 14.5 because of an enexpected cash injection or something. Must say I have wasted this on Thimothee Atouba from Hamburg for 12.5m

and also brought in Vincent Enyeama (sp?) from Hapoel I think for £1m beating off Madrid for his signature. Garry Pendrey was made Newcastle boss aswell so Tommy Burns has been made my assistant.
2nd season went well aswell .... Won league and Scottish cup... lost final of league cup 3-0 to Rangers after saying Beasley wnt be getting any special treatment he went onto get MOM

got Benfica in last 16 of C.L drew 1-1 at CP and won away 5-1

I was in shock when I pulled Marseille out of the hat for last 8 ... So chuffed... 1st leg at C.P ... Lost 4-0  won 2-0 away and went out... Just starting 3rd season now.
My career plan is to go onto a mid table premiership side and try to win my way to the top before going to one of the top 4 for the Champions league and then becoming manager of say an East Stirling to pass on my greatness.

Has anyone posted a fix for the problem with fixtures loading at the start of a new season?
I played as Dundee United and it went as follows...
2007/08 - 3rd in League, Qualified for UEFA Cup
2008/09 - 5th in League, reached UEFA group stage
2009/10 - 4th in League, Won Scottish Cup
2010/11 - Fixtures did not load in any Scottish Leagues, although other leagues were fine.
I eventually resigned in August 2010 and applied for every job that came up.
After rejecting Rotherham about 6 times, I finally got the Barnsley job in January and have lifted them from 23rd to 17th in League 1 after 6 weeks.
Severely pissed off at this though as I had just qualified for Europe again and my team was starting to beat the old firm regularly.
When I last checked, the Scottish leagues were still stuck on last season's final places.
