He's done very well and the board and supporters are constantly praising me for getting him. Pretty decent goalscoring record since scoring although I think he may be pushed out the side by 2 of my January signings, one of them being a Jamaican international with 67 caps and 20 goals.

My season has gone terribly sour though, after a very good first quarter I'm now starting to slip down the league. A win or two would put me straight back into the play-off's because it's a very tight league but I'm hovering dangerously above the relegation play-off spot all of a sudden.

I had a quick game when I got in from work last night. I drew the lot of them (3). All home matches and two of them were against the bottom two. I went right through them - well as much as I could from the multiple choice options. Sadly, 'lazy b*****ds' was not an option, so I had to settle for 'show your anger'. The knobs may have cost me promotion.

Still, there are three games left and the gap is only three points from me in 6th and Alaves at the top.

Celtic currently 3 points clear with two OF games to go in the season.
I have a shite ammount of injuries atm. Still in the Yoofa cup. Beat Bordeaux and now have Villareal. Drew 0-0 in the away game so I'll hopefully skelp them at Ibrox.

St.Johnstone are the most dirty cheating team in the game. McLaren just broke Imrie's leg, and broke Higgins' arm in the space of 10 minutes. I play them in 3 days time, where he will be kicked off the park by my team. I will make sure of this.

Does anyone else get a ridiculous amount of disallowed goals in the new one? Im talking 2-3 almost every game! surely its a bug or something or is it just me

yeh me too.

in one game after 1min 37 seconds, i had 2 disallowed goal and the opposition had 1

im spending my whole sunday lying in bed playing football manager wooo fucking hooooo

does anyone else change the training schedule around or just leave it as it is? every year i generally just leave it how it is and do well, but i feel i could get more from the players with a better training schedule.

any tips?

i always increase training levels to the lowest of the heavy setting and the players seem happy.

you see i was thinking more along the lines of having different schedules for different types of players. are there any online guide type things?

I use "Tugs Training Schedules" which is found HERE

It gives trainig schedules for all postions including being a bit more specific aeras. The only fault I have with it is that the goalies don't improve as much as the rest of the players and you will need to tweak it to get the best out of it.

it tells you to extract the file to a folder called 'schedules' i've looked everywhere and can't seem to find this folder.

you have to make a new folder called 'schedules'

yip done it and nothing has happened. perhaps it has something to do with the fact im dumbarton but absolutely nothing has come up on screen when i select training to suggest that its even registering.

is the file name 'index.php' if not replace the last three letters with 'php' and make sure they are in you're schedule folder.

And also make sure that there are in "My Document>Sports Interactive>Football Manager 2008>tactics"

Went on a great run, and was joint top with Morton, but have now lost 3 games in a row and slumped down to 4th.

changed the file names to php and put them in the tactics folder, still not working

mmm.... OK if you have the file name as "index.php" and it's in the correct folder, then it should be a case of going into the Training screen, then click on the 'schedule tab' on the screen, then on the next screen click on 'import' button then its just a matter of choosing the appropriate folder and it should be there, if it isn't and you've followed all the instruction correctly, then I don't know where it went wrong.

*EDIT - added some screenshots, showing the schedule table, the path to my trainig schedule and what you should see when it works correctly.

Just got mine on Saturday signed some midfielder that was freed from Man City and he is immense for Berwick. Hammered Raith 3-0 on the opening day then had a couple of draws so it looks like its gonna be a better season that the one we are really having

Well finally gotten into the swing of things with Forfar, although I admit i went into the editor and brought in Neil McCallum from Saints and Chris Mackie from Alloa on loan - as per real life

After a less than promosing opening set of fixtures, we're into September and stringing a few wins together - mostly thanks to parent club Dundee Utd sending Greg Cameron and David Goodwillie up on loan for the season.
