i didnt have any noticable problems with FM08 so far until i noticed about an hour ago a team offered a bid for one of my players that met the minimum release clause yet i was able to reject it. blink.gif laugh.gif

so i hope its fixed now with the patch.
StewartyMac
Just started a new game with Stirling, and they've not fixed the biggest bug of all mad.gif

Derek Lilley's still able to score for the Albion. C'mon, it's supposed to be realistic laugh.gif

As in the digital download or as in a torrent copy wink.gif

I've noticed no difference after downloading that patch.

The commentary still doesn't match whats happening on field and although this time I could continue after the game was over I couldn't give a team talk after it so despite beating Inverurie 9-1 the team all hate me for not giving them enough credit.

On the plus side this time the board have given me an extra 700 pound a week to spend on wages. There's no point though if I can't do matches properly

Hmm, Rather odd expectations for me... Was 5k under my wage budget last season (at the end), and the board raised it... now they are happy that I am so under my bidget... :S

also reached the semifinal of the league cup, and the final of the scottish... now the expectations is only to reach the QFs...

Pity they can't say "we expect youi to progress in the cups until you play the OF team, when we expect you to get raped with your trousers on....
LoonsYouthTeam
Just tried my saved game again and this time it seems to be ok, so now I can finally get fired into this game smile.gif

The amount of disallowed goals is still higher than it should be. I had three in one pre-season game.

I'd just like to point out that my comments about Lilley on the Albion forum and his attributes are in now way related. wink.gif Left his stats as they were from the previous researcher. He'll be fixed for the first data patch (including making him part-time). Also, McKenna should be a SC not an AM/FC (no idea how that happened), Tomana should be right footed and I've not had a chance yet to alter Ross Harris' attributes. There's a couple of under-19s missing (which I'd asked to be added but weren't), most notably Liam Corr. Give me a shout if you think anything else needs changing.

Should also mention that the remaining wage budget in the game isn't what I had entered. I'd set it as zero but in the game you're being given £6k a week, which is ridiculous. It seems it was a bug with how the database figures were being used in the game but the beta patch doesn't seem to have solved it.

Mark McNally says Andy Graham is the weak link in our defence in the game. Obviosuly Craig Reid's agent has had a hand in that too tongue.gif

Also, no matter how much money I offer Trigger to come back, he always signs for Bathgate. Well, twice now.
miketheheadlesschicken
McNally's probably just wanting a game. wink.gif Didn't get a chance to edit Reid or Easton either and, with them being SPL players, their current ability levels are probably the highest in the squad.

Trigger probably shouldn't be in the game. He's retired now, hasn't he?

Nearly £9k a week in my game, and is sitting at £6.7k just now with no signings made. William Easton is on £800 a week. Can't imagine McKenzie agreeing to that.

Trying to get the remaining wage budget fixed for the patch. It's set correctly in the database. What does it say in Easton's profile about what percentage of his wages are being paid by Stirling?

Pretty sure I'd said Trigger had retired when we were having a clear up of unattached players.
Cowanthebluenose
Took Rangers to the CL group stages by battering Sherrif and edging out Fenerbache 4-3.
Unbeaten in the SPL, only game not won was away to ICT on the opening game drawn 1-1.
Celtic signed some dutch guy for 6.5million.

433 at home and a 4231 when away. Working a treat so far.

Roberto Carlos scored a bizare goal from his own half into me laugh.gif Punt from Macgregor and he sort of stood still with the ball and punted it back the way it came and bounced in laugh.gif c**t.

Dont 0's in the FM database tell it to randomly assign a value?

For player attributes, yes. For finances, no. It's actually set as -1 anyway.
StewartyMac
Just signed Robbie Foy as a 'key player' who McNally thinks will be a 'quality' signing.

Wage = £50 a week biggrin.gif

Nicky Walker at £250 a week may be getting punted now!

After a good preseason, lost 2-1 at Dunfermline in the league opener, with Jim Hamilton scoring a late winner.

Which is exactly what happened when we played there for real earlier in the season. Spooky.

Yeah me also, and somehow contributed to my goalie and central defender colliding on a through ball which got held up in the damp and needing treatment and eventually subbed sad.gif

I hope someone has told SI that in Scotland, like Finland, it doesn't always rain.

Still seem to be far too many disallowed goals. Just scored four times in a ten minute second half period - only one goal counted blink.gif

Funny how the computer teams seem to have less than half the number of goals chopped off dry.gif

Maybe it is going along the lines of Olaf getting into Government with the Conservatives and raping the wealth of a small, South American country, through crippling loans, that they don't need, therefore being able to re-route some of the profit Falkirk's way. wink.gif
