Player Interaction is it not?

It's in Windowed Mode but as a non-player of the newer editions I wouldn't know how you changed it to that. In my experience of older versions it slows down your game a bit but I always used it.

Ive downloaded all the club badges and league logos etc but how do I load them into the game?

If you've put them all in the correct folder, they should appear automatically, although you might need to copy the default ones into another folder and move the folder somewhere else (rather than delete them incase you ever need them again)

What folder do I put them into though? I had a look in the FM08 folder but couldnt see a folder containing the rest of the badges!

Just finished 4th in my first season with Cowden and lost by 1 goal over two legs in the play off final! Yet the game seems to think I JUST avoided relegation - the squad were awarded a bonus for finishing 10th in the league :s

put them in the db folder which is in the data folder. remember to untick the 'use skine cache' or whatever it is in your preferences and the logos should appear.

also i cant put severin and langfield in my squad for league cup quarter final against dundee united because they are travelling to arrive with the scotland squad. players travelling days before international games is a good idea, but they would never travel when they have a game for their club first, nevermind a quarter final of a cup.

WTF is the deal with the goals being constantly ruled out. I'm less than half way thru a season and I must have had at least 20 - 25 goals chopped off

Well, its not great but neither is it a bug. Its a data issue which is the fault of whoever did the research not the programmers. Its also easily fixed in the editor if you're that bothered.

Although the research on Queens has got a lot better its still pretty poor. O'Connor has been under-rated in every version (compared with the rest of the squad) and Paton hasnt played as a right winger since he joined us!

Whole game seems a total mess.

It's not just the main problems, its dozens of tiny little things, of which quite a few have been highlighted in this thread. What a joke.

You would think that, but don't automatically assume it. PHD Dave is fuming cos several details that are present in his file are missing from the game, most notably the two polish lads not being present which leaves Peterhead without a proper keeper! Some newly created players also have details incorrect.

It's quite possible that the Queens researcher has done the job properly, and that SI have balls'd it up.

I would assume that players missing would mean that a file wasnt submitted in time, or simply the wrong one was loaded, which as you say is not necesarrily the researchers fault. However, no programmer is going to simply make up players, or include players that have long since left the club if the researcher has taken them out. I cant see any reason why the stadium info would change either unless thats whats been specified.

Well, the fact that newly created players in the file WERE included shows that the file was put in on time, as you said the programmers wouldn't make up players for it's own sake.

However, the fact that player details are wrong would suggest that there is a cockup somewhere along the line as the details should be there, seeing as the player is.

Why the researchers file is not being accurately represented in the game is something only SI can answer.

Glad I started in England as I havent noticed any bugs yet. The game is a massive improvement for me so far.

True. Although there will no doubt be validity checks done when the files are loaded, if the researchers have entered something invalid it will drop out - this happens with any data take on. Not saying the programmers are perfect, they obviously arent, but most of the errors for Queens are not new to this release suggesting that the researcher is to blame.

or that the Database isn't seeing the 'changes'. Mistakes made years ago but never rectified. you have to question why someone would chose to be a researcher for FM and not be getting angry/upset at these mistakes being made every year.

After only taking only two points from my first four games things are looking up. I am skint but I still feel I will be in the hunt come the end of the season. My attacking 442 using wingers is proving tough for my opponents. Long may it continue, Viva la Malaga!

The English game seems to be alright, my Newcastle one's running without any major issues.

I'd avoid a Scottish game for now though as there's a chance your team in their second season won't actually have any games to play.

Still bottom of the table with Leeds, I did have to make up 15 points on everyone else though. Was away to Huddersfield just now, they scored first then I equalised in injury time in the first half. Was clearly offside but the referee gave it.

Went onto score again in the second half to win the game 2-1.

Huddersfield were fuming though, not only did my offside goal stand, they had three disallowed goals, and a penalty miss

After 11 games, I am on three points, 8 points away from safety.

There's a bug in the game that means if you're playing a Scottish league, when it gets to the end of the season and it's time to generate the fixtures for the next, there's a chance it won't generate any domestic fixtures at all.

Meaning that if you're in Europe, you'll still get to play your European matches but that's it. If you're not in Europe, you won't have any fixtures.

Really getting into my Leeds game, nearing the end of December, still at the bottom of the league. Had it not been that I started minus 15 points, I would be in a play-off position.

Will need to bring in a defender in January, I'm loosing far too many goals through shit defending. Got David Edgar on loan from Newcastle as they are my feeder club. I think he goes back in January, which is a shame as he is doing a good job for me.

Da Silva is a goal scoring machine in it. Since Daryl Duffy came back from injury, he has went 11 games without scoring

Anyway, if things keep going well, I think I should finish somewhere mid-table.

got managers job at charlton and only missed out on promotion to premiership in play off final after having to sell all my best players for the money.

Anyone else had problems with the Scottish cup first round?

First season - Was fine in my first season, all the proper junior teams in there.

Second season - An utter shambles. Not one single East of Scotland league team in there and 12 junior teams!

Maybe it's being visionary....

Is everyone having problems with the fixtures in the Scottish leagues?

I'm currently 4th in the SPL with my St. Mirren team in my first season. Just about to head into the last 5 games after the split.

I've been playing a 4-5-1, never trash any team but also get a goal or two and my defence is solid.

Signed a good few players on loan from Man U and Celtic as well as signing a fantastic defender in Kalla who was out of contract at the start of the game.

I also signed Lowe from some Jamaican mob and the right midfielder from Hearts (Cseskaski) or something like that!

Signing young players on loan from teams such as Man U is the way forward when you have a f'k all budget to start off with. I only have a budget for the aim of avoiding relegation.

Hopefully I might get jammy and pip Hearts to third spot and get some UEFA money instead of having to go through Euro Vase. I'm in the Semi Final of the Scottish Cup so hopefully I can get past Dundee united and into the final against one of the OF and get a UEFA cup spot as they are both in the top two spots.

Surely you'll now sign Chris Burke on a 10 year contract worth £20k a week and then punt him into the reserves for ever more.

Tbh, Burke had been languishing in my reserves, but injuries and the fact that Naismith is gash on the right wing have forced him back into first team action.

Despite my protestations, I got the game today, and have taken over at the Albion predictably enough. Looking forward to the first set of new skins, as this default one isnae very nice. Just played one friendly, 1-1 vs Beith, but have put it off as I also bought the Orange Box for the 360, and HL2 was calling my name.

Looks like this has happened to me. A disgraceful error to slip through the net and one I'm extremely pissed off about. All the good work of my first season and all the players I've signed has been wasted

Just taken over at Sunderland (running alongside my Albion game), and they've given me a transfer budget of £600,000 to stay in the EPL.

I can see both seasons being somewhat tough.

But they surely couldn't give you anymore than that give that you've already spent a fair amount (albeit not actually you) on Gordon, Jones etc.?
