I'd love to say I intended to lose the second goal so I could keep my run going, but I didn't.

I took him on loan too in my first season, and swapped him for Gow permanently in my second. He scored 18 in six months on loan, and hasn't hit the net yet in six months in the new season. The little fucker.

There's no chance I'll be able to keep him at Cliftonhill though, even if I get promoted (in 2nd place, 5 points behind Dumbarton with 15 games to go)
My only complaint about the game has already been mentioned by other folk, too many red cards and injuries during it. I think I've had my tackling set on "Hard" for one full game (vs Morton in the cup) and occasionally in the last 5 minutes. But I've had
7 red cards and it's only the end of January in my first season

5 or 6 opposition players must have walked against me as well.
Possibly also not enough penalties? I think I've been awarded and conceded one apiece in the same timeframe, which seems a little low.
I'm sure the first patch will sort it

I'm currently in the middle of my pre-season with Raith Rovers. After two friendlies I have a 50:50 record - beating Berwick but being outclassed by Sheffield United.
Have signed Graeme Dorrans on loan until January and Grant Smith has signed on a free transfer.
Hearts are now my parent club and have sent their young Bulgarian striker Branamir Kosstadinov to us for the season. Also had an audacious bid for Mirsad Beslija accepted only for him to reject me.

Whats your starting XI Chris? (my turn to ask the questions

)
My one is now when full strength
David Scott
Chris Mitchell*---Craig Sives---Grant Smith---Mark Reynolds
Stephen O'Donnell
Craig Bryson----------------------------------Mike McGlinchey**
Michael Graham
Markus Paatelianen---Dayne Robertson
[left]*I would expect he will go in the first team but he hasn't played yet due to injury. Mikey is there for the time being
**On loan from Falkirk
My team did admirably against SPL opposition in the League Cup for the 2nd season running - Beating ICT with a last minute ET goal in the 3rd round and well.......St. Johnstone fans may want to look away now. (They got promoted in 06/07 this is now 08/09 youd think they'd be good after 2 season in the SPL

)

3 games to go at the end of my first season in Coatbridge, top of table looks like this
1. Albion Rovers Pts 56 GD +17
2. Dumbarton.....Pts 56 GD +16
3. Queen's Park..Pts 56 GD +13
Remaining fixtures
Elgin (7th) (A)
Arbroath (5th) (H)
Queen's Park (3rd) (A)
Dumbarton and QP have to play each other next.
It's been some season- no one has ever been more than 5 points clear and mostly it's been a point or 2 in it.
The season will be finished off..............after my dinner ( I need a break).

Have managed to reach the League Cup Final after beating Celtic 1-0 in the semi, through using a defensive 5-4-1 formation, and hitting on the counter. That after playing the last half hour with ten men, after Stephen O'Donnell was sent off.

That'll do- 3 clean sheets in a row for the first time all season, just when I needed it

Bit of a bottle job by the Sons and QP meant all I had to do on the last day was avoid a "Hearts 1986" scenario, which I did with a 2-0 win at Hampden.
Next season should be er... interesting. I think I'll start that tomorrow though!

oooh that was tough shit
Went 3-0 down in 15 minutes through David Goodwillie and a Venegoor of Hesselink double.
Dayne Robertson quickly pulled one back after 19 minutes to make it 3-1.
We later had a penalty denied contraversially, although I'm not sure myself if it was
About an hour in Robertson went off injured and Markus Paatalianen came on.
Of course quickly he missed a sitter from 5 yards
It looked like me might make the scoreline look nice when we were awarded a penalty on 90 mins which Paatalianen took and missed

well he got the rebound I suppose

3-2
Despite me throwing O'Donnell up front and all out attack The final score was Clyde 2-3 Celtic

Got a decent game going with Livi just now.
After getting through the first 9 games with a record of P9 W2 D4 L3, went on to go through the next quarter undefeated with a record of W7 D2.
Climbed from 8th at the end of the first quarter to a four-point lead at the top, with an overall record of P18 W9 D6 L3.
Dumped out of the Challenge Cup by Morton and the CIS by Dundee though, but got Buckie Thistle in the Scottish Cup Third Round, so all is not lost for a cup run!
1st season in charge, won the league with St Johnstone. 5 points clear of Livi, Dundee relegated.
Signed:
Aaron Labonte
Dan Martin - DM but transformed him into superb CB
Alex Neil
Craig Bryson (exch deal, no cash, Rustybits heading in the opposite direction)
Tiago Costa - on loan
Greg Ross - finished the season with best average rating
Beaten in the Challenge cup final by Gretna.
Best Result: Won 7-0 v Ross County
Worst Result: Lost 5-2 v Clyde - decided to play with the idea of extra width at 1-1, didn't work
Team Lines up:
Halliwell
Costa - Martin - Labonte - Stanic
Stevenson - Bryson - Ross - Janczyk (once back from loan)
Scotland - Peaso
