Nope, I hadn't seen it on the SI forum. Bryan told me about it on MSN.

I'm not really inclined to report problems on the SI board anymore, to be honest.

Brought in a few players

Greg Kelly (GK) on loan from Aberdeen
Other guys (all free transfer or £0 offers) Craig Reid (DC) Marc Kalenga (MC) Michael Graham (FC) and Grant Smith (ML/C)

No-one out ph34r.gif laugh.gif

I was playing a 3-5-2 but the way I was playing it really didn't work so moved to a good old 4-4-2 with the wingers attacking.

Kelly
McGregor McKeown Higgins Malone
M. McGowan Bryson Masterton Smith
Graham Ferguson

[left]Subs: Cherrie, Reid, McHale, Imrie, Harris

The game has made Imrie surprisingly crap and Ferguson surprisingly good ohmy.gif

Got to the 2nd round of the CIS and Challenge cups going out to Morton (pre-formation change) and Hamilton (on pens) First 3 league games were v Gretna Livi and St. J - 0/9, changed the formation (midway through QoS) I played QoS, Ross Co. and Partick 9/9 cool.gif it was a horrible start fixturewise too but the formation helped

So if youcan do sums thats 9 from the first 6 games - sitting 5th and on the up cool.gif

The Real Saints
Finished 3rd in the league. Far from impressive. Gretna were promoted, and Jason Scotland has gone off to Charlton. sad.gif
Dunc
Got bored with normal Raith so decided to shift them off to the Conference North. Also edited the reputation to bring it down to the same level as other clubs in the CN, and added myself as a youth player! ph34r.gif

I'm top of the league by 4 points after 11 games.

Talk about injury crisis. Going into a game against Moor Green (Who I took to League 1 on FM06) - I've got 15 fit players - including 3 goalies.
Mushroom
Actually I was wrong - I had lost to Hamilton after the QoS game so it was actually 9 after 7.

I am now at 10 after 10 - Hit another wall, and down to 8th sad.gif

Beat this for a fucking clyde season! (haven't over spent everything within budget!)

16 Games In, Won 13, drew 2, lost 1! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif sitting 3rd in the league, Won the challenge cup! (omen? cool.gif Beating Guess who.... County! In the final, Put dunfermiline out of the league cup 1-0 at east end park! Only defeat was by county at dingwall have drawn with st.johnstone and gretna.

David Scott is my goalkeeper (and what a fucking keeper I swear if he hadn't been between the sticks, i'd of been bottom probably because the saves he's been making are second to none)

I've braught In a goalie...... Des Gallagher Ireland U-21 international, £350 p/w and he's good too an absoloute steel.

I've also got in Rod Wallace! laugh.gif and Rob Lee! laugh.gif (the latter of whom has been outstanding)
an ex-england U21 cap centre half, Paul Williams as cover all for cheap btw £200 or less p/w.
Marco Pelosi loaned from hearts (no wage contribution biggrin.gif ) And, Neil Teggart n.ireland u21 cap striker

A scout Namely.... Bob Pearson & A assistant "David Kemp"

*Was put out the league cup by aberdeen 3-2 AET btw.

I'm always using scout reports of teams before I play them and taking the advice as it will see too it that you perform well and in most cases, win, I'm usually playing a 3-5-2 (wingback) formation but it's very different for instance the use of a sitting midfielder sometimes and wing backs moving to full back etc.

I'm playing alot with a deep line and direct/long ball and using imrie/taz's pace over the top and it's working a treat
mentality is normal, using counter attack option, and some times tight marking against team like hamilton so as to prevent ball to feet.

I've gave alot of player individual training programs, Imrie, Bradley, Arbuckle, Ferguson, teggart, lee and wallce are all on there own training program,

The strikers are on one I've called "Imrie it's basically Intensive shooting, attacking, ball control tactics with light aerobic work, has bootsted there stats a treat

and lee and wallace's was a fitness and tactic intensive based one as they were chronically unfit.

Not bad for a team with £1,000 p/w p/y to dish out among new signing with no cash, and relegation certainties eh?

Caldwell agreed to sign 6 months before he signed for Celtic so you must be able to agree transfers 6 month before your contract runs out to another Scottish team surely?

Same with his bench warming Celtic buddy who he used to play with at Hibs.

laugh.gif I did that once with a Korean Division 2 team in an older FM - signed a bunch of Japanese free agents (since the Korean "talent pool" on my medium database was reminiscent of the kids' end at Centre Parcs in its depth) only to find that the league was for Koreans only.

Never mind - they performed well in my weekly friendlies against the reserves.

Still checking but am pretty sure they got it wrong, check out this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Derek_Riordan

Despite further interest from clubs including PSV Eindhoven, Anderlecht, Kaiserslautern, Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Charlton Athletic, Riordan signed for Glasgow Celtic in a cut price £200,000 deal in June 2006. The fee was reduced from the previous offers because Riordan's contract with Hibs was due to expire in October 2006, and Riordan had already made a pre-contract agreement to sign for Celtic on a free transfer in January 2007. Therefore it made sense for both parties to agree a deal whereby Riordan could move in the summer transfer window, instead of having to wait six months.

Riordans pre-contract was signed last season. Maybe the rule has changed for season 06/07? unsure.gif

I'm Arsenal's feeder club now. smile.gif
My pre-season signings are Iain Anderson from St. Mirren, and a swap deal with Falkirk- I get £22,000 and Graham Barrett for David Van Zanten, who didn't perform well for us.
Won most of my pre-season friendlies, and drew 1-1 with Tottenham! laugh.gif
Lost 1-0 to Falkirk in my only friendly defeat.
Started the competitive season brightly, with a 2-0 win against newly promoted Peterhead, and a comfortable 3-0 victory over East Stirling in the Challenge Cup.
Kilmarnock are the SPL relegated team. They're obviously the favourites for promotion, with us just behind.
I've just had two offers for Willie McLaren from ICT and St. Mirren, both for £75,000! ohmy.gif
Too good an offer to turn down in my opinion. What do you think?
Mushroom
Airdrie United are hacking bassas - in one game I had 5 injuries, 4 of which the player had to come off for - leaving me with 10 men.

The injuries were

Marc Kalenga - 3-5 months
Michael Graham - 5 days - 2 weeks
Craig Bryson - 2-3 months
Eddie Malone - 1-4 weeks
Neil McGregor - 1-3 weeks

mad.gif

P.S. 19 points from 18 - sitting 7th ph34r.gif

I am also in the semi final of the Uefa cup v Hertha Berlin.

Cruised to the second division championship...
[attachmentid=12221]

Played the first teams of Rangers, Celtic, Hearts and Hibernian in friendly matches and made a bundle of money as a result. Still not out of debt though, I don't know where all my money is going as my average wages is low, the squad size is normal and there are no ridiculous bonuses!

First match in the league finished 1-0 to Clyde. sad.gif

Will be happy just to stay up and build from that.

Dunc
Unbelievable match in my "Move Raith to the Conference North" game.

Drew Conference side Exeter in the FA Trophy, and the first game finished 1-1, with Exeter having two goals disallowed for offside, then eventually equalising with an offside goal that stood! sad.gif

So off I went to Exeter, with odds of 12-1.

[attachmentid=12222]

The thing to bear in mind here, is I have a squad, including Reserves/Under 19s, of 23. I had 7 injuries. 3 of my fit players were goalkeepers. My average squad age, is 21.

Chris Neal is the Exeter goalie, but they did replace him with another keeper.

After the game, 4 of my players came out and apologised (something I've never seen before)

Michael Brown, for giving away the 58th minute goal.
Chris Liddle, for giving away the penalty.
Paul McAvinue, for giving away a goal. (But not for putting the penalty wide, or for getting sent off for Violent Conduct)
Iain Davidson, for giving away the 106th minute goal.
Mushroom
Finished the season 6th after my unbeaten run ended 3 games before the end of the seasn - I only got 1 point from my last 3 games.

So the rebuilding begins. Signed a young keeper from Inverness Caley a while back - more to follow.

Already sold Hunter, Arbuckle and Kalenga (when I realised I'd given him ridiculous wages and he's crap) Cherrie & McHale are on their way out - with a few youths following no doubt.

Now, who to sign
