I warned Peter Weatherson for poor performance (HT & FT rating 3 !!!), Fined Finlayson and Nugent 1 weeks wages; both for dismissal in prior match!

I would have probably wanred Weatherson too but like someone had already said, you should have replaced him at half time.

The thing is though, you shouldn't warn players for ONE poor performance, it should be for performing poorly constantly.

Same goes for fining players for getting sent off, I only do that after they have been sent off more than twice that season.

I've been playing it for months unsure.gif

PS Why would I take offence laugh.gif laugh.gif

I had a disgusting end to the season with my Spurs team. I was all set up to take my first step into the CL with the club and then after a poor performace against Dortmund in the UEFA Cup my season fell apart. Rafinha was called up for Gold Cup duty so I had to play Cicinho at right back. His stats might look good but he plays like a wee school kid making so many errors it is unreal. However he wasn't the only one. In one of my games, I think v Coventry, Moutinho decided to take a throw in from the half way line and play it back to Robinson who was in his own box. My defenders left it, Robinson ran out but the Coventry striker got to it first and lobbed him mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

I lost 1 - 0 to Liverpool in the match that saw them win the title and me finish in 5th. For the final 2 weeks of the season I was playing about 4 games a week because I had a backlog due to success in Europe and at Home in the Cup as well.

Now things are getting worse. Tevez ztill won't sign a contract and now Liverpool have made a bid for him. The thought of a front 2 of Tevez and Cisse is frightening. Cisse scored 39 goals in 41 games last season. I think the person who did Liverpool was taking the piss somewhat blink.gif

So heading out of Spurs this summer are Carrick, Murphy and Tevez (likely) along with some youngsters. Coming in are Kallstrom to replace Carrick and provide competition for Moutinho and Iakavenko in the centre of midfield. Also arriving is Garay from Barca, a cracking centre half. Silva arrives to take up the left midfield role left vacant since Iakavenko moved infield to greater effect. Grohe, a Brazilian keep arrives, to provide backup to Robinson since Cerny had a mental breakdown (laugh.gif). Leighton Baines is coming in from Wigan to give me a solid left back and hopefully link well with Silva.

In theory it will be a very solid squad but they are all very young. My average age I think is round about 23 and I am looking to sign Vanden Borre - a good right sided player apparently - to link with Rafinha on the right. If possible I will go for Fred from Lyon to partner Defoe and the major overhaul will, hopefully, be complete biggrin.gif

I negotiated a new 3 year deal with Spurs plus a further ground expansion so they are working on that as we speak biggrin.gif

EDIT: Tevez has now agreed a deal with Liverpool. I put him in my Under 18 squad laugh.gif

Through to the Semi of the UEFA Cup after coming back from a 2-1 first leg defeat to beat Schalke 04 4-0 away from home, Vyacheslav Hleb bagging all four. What made it funnier was I had major injury/suspension problems, leaving me with a patchwork back four of:

Stephen Jordan (first choice left back) - Andriy Rusol (recovering from injury) - Nedum Onouha (reserve defender) - whoever the f**k my back-up left back is.

I also had a reserve midfielder playing wide left, and a rejigged frontline. Like Andy's Spurs team, Schalke defenders kept playing the ball back to the keeper, but finding my strikers instead. laugh.gif laugh.gif

Started a new game with Man Utd. Never been them before in any FM/CM game. Reckon I'll make it a challenge for myself by trying to win CL twice in a row in game within 10 seasons, using only English players.

Just 2 games into the season so far, a 1-1 draw against Charlton at Old Trafford was fairly disappointing but then made up for it with a 5-0 win against Blackburn away.

Would have been more of a challenge doing that with Arsenal. Actually it woulda been more of a challenge finding an Englishman in the Arsenal squad laugh.gif

I switched West Brom and Raith, and then cleared the Raith squad out and took 18 players from the Prem.

I didn't take any World Class players, really, my best player is Roy Keane, and there isn't really anyone else like him in my team. I also put a wee version of me in tae wink.gif

My team is a bit too good though, think its a bit better than I hoped it would be. I'm mid-table after a while in the season, and i've drawn 0-0 with Inter and beaten Debrecen 2-1 away in my Champions League group (I stole Villareal's place)

I'm having major injury problems, which is bad news when i've got a maximum of 18, and I think the smallest number of available players i've had on a match day is 12.

Have started a new game as Milan manager.

Out go Simic, Seedorf, Costacurta and loads of the pther old guys.

In come Messi, Lagos, Aissati, Sneijder, Van Der Vaart, Kallstrom, Vanden Borre, Kompany, Craig Gordon, Maxwell, Tevez, Riordan and Charlie Adam.

Spent nearly all my transfer budget for the season, the above lot cost about £60 million, but I got around £30m for all the players I booted out the door.

I have had a good start to the season, top of the league by 2 points from Inter after 8 games. Also top of my Champions League Group. Had a 3-3 draw with Udinese away in my last game - late goals from Gilardinho and Vieri getting me a point having been 3-1 down with 5 minutes to go.

Made it through to the final on away goals after a 2-1 home win over Newcastle, following a 4-3 defeat at St James Park. More importantly though, I've just won the league! With two games to go I was a point behind Arsenal with Man Utd and mid-table Wolves to play, whereas they had Watford and Aston Villa, both at the arse end of the league.

They cuffed Watford 5-2 after I'd beaten Man Utd 3-1 (van der Sar sent off near the end for a professional foul outside the area after they'd used three subs - Ruud van Nistelrooy had no chance with the free kick laugh.gif). Then, implausibly, Arsenal got beat 2-1 by Villa thanks to a last minute goal, while I beat Wolves 2-0. Immense end to the season, and still the "EURO Cup" to play, against Sevilla smile.gif
Peterhead Dave
And a 2-1 win over Sevilla seals the double biggrin.gif

I've got four strikers who I rotate in a front two (though they're versatile so sometimes play in midfield too), and the three I play most often have 25, 24 and 23 goals for the season. That's just bloody immense!

Have completed my first season as Milan boss. Won the Scuddeto and the Champions League. Only two defeats all season, both to Juventus in the Coppa Italia quarter finals (no excuses, full team both time). The highlight of the season had to be a 7-1 away win over Lokomotiv Moscow in the 1st KO round of the champions league, closely followed by a 5-2 home win against Arsenal in the Semi-Final.

Shevchenko was the main man with 40 goals for the season, closely followed by Tevez and Gilardinho who both got 20+. Not bringing many new faces in for the new season as my squad is already too big, but i have brought in Guarin for £1m and Cassano on a free. Trying to get rid of several of the older players, like Maldini, Vieri and Costacurta, but nobody is interested in them (probably due to the huge wages they are on).

Here's a uselful tip I found out last night:

I won promotion to Division 2 with Stenhousemuir (AWOOGA!) and was struggling to sign players for the new season, that would be 2006-2007. I'd released half the squad and was looking for pretty much a new team.

If you're in the same situation, go to team from the Championship, teams like Derby, Ipswich etc etc and have a look at some of the players they've released on free transfers. They're all under 20, and some of them are pretty hot.

I recommend:

Steve Cann (goalkeeper, turns into something superb)
Charlie Sheringham (son of...........) ST
Billy Clarke ST
Liam Trotter MC
Mitchell Booth DR
Cathal Laclan MRLC
Nick Farquarson ST

All of these guys have been superb. As a result, I am sitting second, joint top with Partick (laugh.gif). I won my first two games, but then lost four in a row. I gave the team a kick up the arse, and am currently on a 17 (!!!) game unbeaten run, having stopped playing on the 1st January 2007 (after beating Morton 2-1 biggrin.gif). Sherigham and Clarke are awesome. If you sign them, they will score.

I need to sign a decent AMC. I only have JP McBride in that positition, and attempts to land Charlie Adam and Hamed Namouchi on loan have proved futile.

Help.

Wow, I haven't posted on here for some time. I finsihed the 2006-2007 season with my STENHOUSEMUIR team still in the second division after raith Rovers beat me in the playoff final. However, my 2007-2008 season was simply superb, I played the entire season in one night (until 5am! ohmy.gif). I sniffed around Premiership clubs in an attempt to sign any decent young players and brough in Sam Williamson, while also signing Craig Parker from Montrose (he starts off on a free), Billy Brawley, Ross Forsyth, some Swedish goalie from Hearts, Stuart Wall and Nathan D'Laryea on a free from Man City. All have proved to be superb players. I have actually never see so many WTD next to my squad (I reckon only four or five players from the 22 wasn't wanted)!

I romped to the second division title, winning it by ten points. I also had some decent cup tuns, missing out on the Challenge Cup semi final to St Mirren, and was put out of the League Cup and Scottish Cup by Rangers and Livingston respectively. Not bad going.

I even managed to sell Davie Templeton to Man Utd for £5 million (ohmy.gif) and so have tonnes of money to bring in new players. I'm trying to sign Markus Paatelinaen from Cowden, and despite the fact I'm offering ten times his wages, he won't come! I need two good strikers and fast. Please, help me!

Been a while since I posted on here, so a quick update is in order....

I fancied setting myself a wee challenge - starting a Scottish season in January 2006, I wanted to see what Bosman signings I could attract to one of the Old Firm clubs, and then see how I could do at home and abroad. I went the bigots in blue, and added the pre-contract signings of Gary McDonald, Ivan Cuadrado, Michael Chopra and Alex Hleb's wee brother to the purchase of Maris Verpakovskis during the transfer window, and went on to win the SPL, get to the semi final of the Scottish Cup and UEFA Cup, and lose the final of the League Cup. In my first full season, I won the league again, got beaten by Celtic in both domestic cup finals, and lost in the final of the Champions League to Chelsea, having knocked out Barcelona, Juventus and Bayern Munich on the way there.

I'm taking a break from that one though, and have re-started at the Strathclyde Homes Standium wink.gif to see if I'm any better than Paul Martin tongue.gif
