Who are the 1st divisions hotshots to look out for next season?

With Barrowman leaving County, it is a chance for the likes of Dene Sheilds and Sean Higgins to step up to the plate. They will be joined by the new signings, Steven Craig from Livi and Davie Winters is back and the tall dutchman Dyro Daal.

I predict Dyron Daal to be top scorer with Sean Higgins a close second.

oh alright, my prediction for County's league finished has changed from 6th to last..

I would have also said Andy Jackson would easily be the top scorer in the division but with so much competition for places I cant say im as confident now

I think Antoine-Curier will be regularly putting the ball in the back of the net, but with McMenamin putting a good few in too. I'm hoping that A-C's height, McMenamin's ability to attack a header, and some good crossing from Gilhaney and O'Brien will mean a potent strike force. The unknown is whether we can form a decent central midfield to provide placed through balls a-la-Spain-Euro-08 for the strikers to run onto too. I'm hoping for a reduction in the hoof-and-hope tactic, as ever.

If Buchanan stays fit he will reach about 18 league goals, atm there is no other striker that could reach 7 or 8 league goals.
Lambie's Pigeon Feed
Liam Buchanan - 20 goals
Graeme Eaglesham - 15 goals
The Hoor - 10 goals
Iranian Pele - 5 goals

Stainrod's Fedora
Colin McMenamin will score 20+ this season I reckon.
lyle be back
Big Jim Thomson. Now he's scored at the highest level I reckon he'll go goal crazy.

I reckon:
Dobbie - 22
O'Connor - 10
Kean - 5
Tosh - 5
Burns - 8
Others - 8

Goal crazy!!!!!

I still don't get why he's called that ph34r.gif

Curier or McMenamin no doubt and hopefully bob davidson can chip in with a few.If I was betting it would be curier, quick strong and takes a goal.

Mushroom
Pat Clarke will easily be our top scorer.

He scored 9 in 15 last season, and I'd say our midfield is better so I can see him breaking 20 in a full season, barring major injury.
gmfc
Our new striker who ever it may be unless it is Arbuckle, if it is him probably Weatherson.
Stevie Aitken's Love Child
Weatherson will be top scorer, but I don't see us scoring a lot of goals next season dry.gif
gingapar
Don't know, we haven't aigned him yet.

Get back to you.

Even though he wasn't 'easily' the top scorer last season?

The real reason's actually quite boring. Best just use your imagination. wink.gif
Fifes Elite Force
McIntyre with four. He will appoint himself penalty taker to achieve such a tally.
Exuberant
If fit, Buchanan.

If not, I have a sneaky feeling about that fans' favourite Donnelly, but it also depends on who else we sign.

Watch this space wink.gif

Still no noise from Airdrie or Livy - any fans out there?

Super Pat Clarke!!!

I would be surprised if any team has a player who scores 20 league goals this season, if they do fingers crossed it is a Dundee player. rolleyes.gif

Sao Paulo
Paddy Clarkaghan.
Sir Kevin Of Kilsyth
Although it probably will be Clarke id just love it to be McSwegan. That would really shut a few people up.
alittlescot
Well we only have on striker and that is Leigh Griffiths. We will have to wait and see how these trialists play. Also if Griffiths is even guarenteed to start...

I just hope we do sign a player that can set up goals rather than score them. Griffiths could get us 15 goals next season easily with a good footballer beside him.

Yes we are still looking for strikers! laugh.gif
BigAl024
I'd say Mcmenamin for us, closely followed by Curier.
Kyle
Probably between Jackson and a fit Savo Milne.

No guarantee any of our strikers will get a game, so it could be a very well spread goal scoring season.
Juan Sara
Curier or McMenamin.

At the Player of the Year Dinner McMenamin told me he promised Rae 20 goals but that was also before Curier signed so it could be any of the two.

Pat Clarke without a doubt if he's fully fit.

If he gets injured then it'll be McSwegan/McCusker.

my money is on jackson but yeah, savo, peaso, samuel,(big target man) or even hardie could finish with a lot of goals as well

Brain Wake.
Mebbe Russell might recreate the form he had in the 2nd division when he netted something like 20-odd goals.
He certainly had his chances last season but didn't take many.
Unless Weatherson moves his hole he won't be playing to be top scorer.

I think Jackson will be yours again, Samuel will create more than he will score.

You can't really bet against Andy Jackson again. Collin Samuel could be up there, but it is quite difficult to predict how much of a success he will be at Saints. I'm hopeful though.

I think from our team, we would be looking for Dyron, Craig and Sheilds to be our main goalscorers with Higgins/Winters also adding to the team.
Nizzy
If your relying on Craig to be among your top goal scorers then you can kiss goodbye to First Division football.

Donkey Dyron Daal was a bit of a no trick pony too.
Juninho
I'm confident in the team we have. Craig and Dyron both have SPL experience despite mixed spells in recent times.
