The ghost of Jim Morton

While I believe Dundee had no other option(The same would apply to all other clubs in our league if offered a large wedge of cash)) but to sell their best player,has the sale of McDonald mortally wounded them in regards of their title aspirations..How much weaker will this make them and will his departure boost the confidence of other sides,making them believe more that they can defeat Dundee.
I as a Saints fan am delighted he has gone.I rated him very highly and he was one of the main reasons we struggled to beat the Dees last term.
What do you all think about this...
Dundee fans......How much are you gonna miss his input?????

It will be interesting to see who comes in to fill the gaping chasm that will be left. I would be surprised if they start throwing daft money about for obvious reasons.

Massively, as you said he was our best player. He was the driving force last season. I wouldn't say our title hopes have disappeared. There is a long way to go until the season starts and i wouldn't expect anything to happen signing wise until the squad return from Malta in two weeks.
We've still got a real strong defence and attack. With Douglas coming in i feel we've got a better choice of keepers from last season. The midfield is the only real problem and with Gilhaney in place and McHale i'd say thats two starters right away. Young will be cover imo which leaves one right mid and one center mid to come in to complete our starting 11. I think our back up is fine could maybe do with a couple more and if Rae can target the right players i think we'll have as good a chance as any to win the title.

Your confusing me now..Surely a hard-on is a hard-on....You've either got a big dick or a little dick..but a little hard-on??????

If Darren Young is only at Dundee for cover then you guys must be paying a hell of a lot of money per week for a player like him for back up considering he was probably one of the highest earners at EEP.
Have to say that i think Young was brought in to replace Robertson and he'll be in the first eleven quite a bit, that's unless he doesn't get injured.

The sale of Kev makes things much more difficult for next season but it is far 2 early 2 say if it will stop our title challenge. The biggest thing now is what players are brought in with the money we now have fingers crossed that are good enough 2 get us out of this league!! At this moment in time though IMO Saints are favourites for the league!!!

There may well have been a slight twinge..I think it was also the fact that it was Coyle who lured him away. Saints secret agent
He,s only one player though.I,d love to think it would make a huge difference,but realisticly it,s all still there to be played for....

He's a huge loss, no doubt about it. Coupled with the departure of Robertson it makes for grim reading. We desperately need a creative midfielder to drive the team forward next season. Hopefully the injection of cash means we'll be able to broaden our horizons with regards to signing targets but not holding my breath.

Hows that ? A deal that has put us near enough half a million up?
We could buy a number of players to fill that slot.

Yeah i'm sure thats the first thing that ran through the boards mind. "I know chaps, why don't we spunk all this money against the wall like the chuckle brothers did. Lets see where that gets us..."

Been left with a shell of the team that couldnt win the league last season. Players are picking Morton over you. Im afraid that you lot are well in the shite!
500k or more up? That should go to sustaining your existence for another wee while. Dont kid yourself on about transfer cash.

Not really Silvery. See thread;
http://www.pieandbovril.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=86458confirming exactly what I was meaning.;
"THE MONEY received from the sale of Kevin McDonald has been earmarked to provide a
financial safety net for Dundee, chief executive Dave McKinnon admitted last night."
And regarding your rejects, only time will tell. You will be able to see yourself either through Setanta, other SPL broadcasting shows, or highlights on BBC.co.uk
I'm a bit busy on a Sunday afternoon for the div 1 highlights but ill keep looking you boys up online.

Here's the math:
Your budget starts 300k down
ADD 250k initial fee
= -50k
Conclusion: You're fucked.
