It's because there are teams such as us that neither the blue home one nor the light blue away one is deemed sufficiently different from so you need an entirely different third kit. We were in the same position. We wanted a black away kit but were told that neither it nor the home blue could be worn against Ross County or Dundee's home kits because they are dark blue so if we wanted it we'd to have a third kit. Rather than go to the expense we changed to a red away kit. Lord knows what we do if we get Inverness Caley Thistle in one of the cups! laugh.gif

Their strip is predominantly blue this season(and totally disgusting). Your red jersey will be alright against them.

That's pretty much it although I think the club were keen to keep the yellow strip after it's popularity last season, which was down in part to having that disaster of a home kit. The last contract with Xara said we had to take two new strips every season so if the deal with Surridge is similar then that is why we can't just keep the yellow as an away kit. I'll take a stab and say we'll wear the yellow top more than the sky blue one. I might still buy the sky blue effort if the logo looks better than on the home shirt.

I'm sure there are rules that say you can only wear a 3rd kit a maximum of 6(?) times.

Sky blue will be fine for Dundee & County. Yellow for Morton & Queens.

I think we'll wear the yellow at Dens Park, although maybe we shouldn't after the luck it brought in the league games last season. Need to make sure we save the yellow shirt for the latter stages of the Scottish Cup as well!
