We've signed Ross Clarke from you, any views on him?
bsd
Apparently he is a decent midfielder but we never really played him there probably because he wasnt quite good enough to displace our starters. We played him in defence where he is rubbish.

Decent player IMO but suffered with us due to a number of injuries and being used as cover for both full back positions when he was clearly far a better player in midfield. Unfortunately for him we had better options at right midfield which is probably his best position. Capable of scoring great goals, has a powerful shot, and also driving runs through from midfield. Think he was well liked by the QP fans when he was there too. Id heard he might have been going back to them when we released him but clearly that didnt happen.
I would think that with a good injury free run in his favoured position that Ross could do well for Dumbarton.

Ross came to Alloa with a lot of potential and the Queens Park fans were all raving about him. Unfortunately he picked up a couple of long term injuries and when he got back into the team he made some bad mistakes which cost us dearly and cost him his place within the team.

IMO we did not see him at his best and sometimes it takes a move to get going again i wish him all the best and hope he gets a good run at Dumbarton.

Father Barrys Sign (Top Half)
Pretty much echoing the views of the other Alloa fans, he was decent in right midfield, but he didnt get his game there very often.

I remember a game against Morton when he was played there, we won 3-2, he scored a cracking goal and had a brilliant game. Played in defence far too often, he was adequate at right back, but quite possibly the worst left back I have ever seen. laugh.gif

I've no doubts he will do pretty well for Dumbarton if he is deployed in midfield, good luck to the guy.
