As the topic title says!

As I didn't get to many, my choices are fairly limited, but never mind.

Favourite:

QOS 0-1 Dunfermline- First trip to Palmerston, good day out and at the time, a very good result.

Least favourite:

Stirling Albion 3-0 Dunfermline- I missed the horsings by Hamilton and Livingston at home, but this was diabolical. A totally gutless, pathetic display.
SuperTommy
Favourite:

Motherwell 1 Dundee 2 in the cup - Didn't really expect anything from this game and for twenty minutes at the start of the second half we probably played the best football we have under Alex Rae.

or

Dunfermline 0 Dundee 1 - We easily could of dropped out of the title race this day but Daquin popped up with a goal and it kept the title race going.

Least favourite:

Partick 1 Dundee 0 - We were so attacking right from the off and never took advantage. They nicked it in last minute to effectively end our title race. Just remember sitting at the end totally deflated.

For a neutral, that was a really absorbing, exciting game. End to end, good football played and a good atmosphere.

St Johnston 1 Clyde 2 - Midweek game, a game we needed to win and we did, even though we were playing against 12 men. Great Battling performance and we scored 2 great goals. Well deserved victory.

or

Clyde 2 Airdrie 0 - The game in which we secured our first division safety. Went into the game with a 1-0 but we didnt settle for that. Went for it right from the starting whistle, got an early goal then scored a goal later on to settle the nerves and keep us in the division even though if we lost we would have stayed in the division due to gretna laugh.gif but we werent to know that at the time.

Least Favourite

Probably would have been the 4-1 defeat from thistle at broadwood but since i couldnt make that game it was the game at firhell in which we lost 4-0. Was a sore one to take sad.gif This tops alot of the bad performances we had last season

There were far worse games i watched last year but that moment when Roberts got the ball in the box and slotted it home was devastating. Looking back on it our whole season pretty much built up to that moment and then we were knocked down in a moment. If we had won at Partick or even got a point we may well of gone on to win the league.
Larbert_Par
It was a bitter one for Dundee to take. Curier missed some great chances, but I thought Thistle played really well in the second half that night. Even a point would've been a good result.

In fact, from the albeit few goals I saw in the league last season, Roberts' was the pick- a really well worked goal.
Aitchy
The best St Johnstone game was the horsing that we gave St Mirren, i turned up expecting the worse, but the quality of the goals that night and the atmosphere was just amazing.

As for the worse game it has to be getting beat from the scum 3-2, great goal from Jody Morris on his debut, but at the end of the game i have never felt so sick, barring the feeling after the semi finals against Hibs and Rangers.

Favourite:

3-0 v Accies - Considering the way we had dropped points in previous home games, it was long time coming and good to do it against the top team.

Worst: Any home game in December. Total domination, start to finish and not one win, ridiculous really. I think every chance an away team had v us at Firhill that month they scored.

Couldn't agree more, McKinlay had his best game of the season for us dominating the left wing...

As for the worst game, has to be the 1-0 loss to Stirling at Forthbank, the team had sweet FA desire to win the game and we deserved to lose
yangus
best gotta be 3-1 against st mirren ( funny journey home with bus driver trying to make folk walk before the bus had even left for drinking) and worst was getting beat 3-2 by dundee with another bloody last min winner
Fife Saint
I actually enjoyed the 3-2 defeat at Dens. I left the ground thinking "F**k me, thats what a game of football is all about".

Ok we didn't win but it was a fantastic day as i said at the time.

The worst one was probably the one at NDP at the tail end of the season. It was the most gutless, inept display i have seen in my time as a blue. I don't mind getting beat as long as we go down with the right attitude but that was just shit.
Lambo1885
Worst had to be the 0-4 hump fae livi at EEP. Probably the biggest load of shiote I've seen served up by a Pars side since the Jocky Scott days mad.gif (luckily I was in Barcalona when Hamilton gubbed us at EEP.)

Kinda strugglin to pick a favourite from last season as there weren't many great, if any, performances. So I'd probably go with the 4-0 win on the last game of the season, which left you think why did they no play like that all season.
steveoath
Best - Partick Thistle 3-0 Morton. Purely on atmosphere, nerves, tension and survival stakes.

Worst - When dobbie came off the bench to score a hattrick against us. I was in hospitality and it was my Birthday :-( B@astard!

My favourite was probably the 4-1 against Hamilton where we were absoltuely magnificent in the second half. I left thinking that Hamilton surely can't be as bad as what we had just seen. Wasting time after half an hour and the like.

Least favourite by far was the 3-1 against Stirling right after the semi final. I don't know what i was expecting but from 6000 to less than 200 was a real shock! We had nothing left to play for and you could see that the way we played which was entirely expected i suppose. Should have saved my money but i can't sit comfortably at home if Saints are playing and i can get there easily enough!

You make that sound as if you totaly battered us for 89 mins and we got a jammy last minute winner which was not the case in the slightest. Dundee had a couple more clear cut chances but otherwise there was nothing in it and Thistle were worth the win every bit as much as Dundee would have been had they won.

I assume you mean Thistle 0-3 Morton tongue.gif

Favourite game this season was either the Clyde 5-3 Alloa match for obvious reasons or the playoff final second leg against Airdrie.

Least favourite - See Clyde's fixture list from Colin Hendry's spell in charge(with the exception of 22nd September 2007 biggrin.gif )
dee4life
Best was probably the 3-2 win against the fermers at dens,we battered them in the 1st half but only had a solitary goal to show for our dominence, saints came into it 2nd half until colin mac bullited a header past main with seconds to go,great game and great atmosphere.

Worst was our 1-0 loss to partick that ended our title challenge, thought we had the better of the 1st half in dreadful conditions and remember thinking at ht that no way we would lose this match.2nd half thistle brought on murray and started playing some decent stuff, although curier had a great chance to put us a goal up,then the late goal by roberts which was gutting.Dont think we deserved to lose the game but neither would have thistle.Long journey home that night, but at least got a lock-in at pub when we got home.

Even though we failed to take maximum points in those games I still enjoyed them. We played some of our best football of the season during December and it was around then that I began to have complete faith in McCall and what he's trying to achieve.

Favourite: 1-0 against Dundee. biggrin.gif

Nah, only joking. Our home cup ties against Dunfermline and Livi were hugely enjoyable as were our two demolitions of Clyde, but I need to plump for the draw against Rangers at Ibrox. To take the lead there, albeit briefly, and celebrate with so many friends and fellow Thistle fans was a fantastic experience.

Worst: the home draw against St Johnstone towards the end of the season was a turgid affair, but the last day defeat to Morton was a shocker. Our players just didn't look interested and it was disappointing to end the season with a whimper.

Honourable mention to the 2-0 defeat at Queens. They played some good stuff that night and I wouldn't have begrudged them the win if both their goals weren't the result of some ridiculous refereeing decisions.

Didn't mean it to read that way. First half we were all over you though but second half was probably the opposite and Thistle had most of the play. I'd still say the points were 'nicked' at the end but yeah you deserved the win as much as we would have had we won.

Favourite -

QotS 1-3 Morton

First trip to Palmerston and a brilliant display from the team despite going a goal down early doors.

(I haven't put the 3-0 at Thistle as I wasn't there sad.gif )

Worst, take your pick from -

Livingston 6-1 Morton

Dominating early in the game until a hopeful long punt up the pitch sees their striker go through 1-on-1 with Robinson only for Finlayson to haul him down, red card and penalty, and the rest they say is history.

Morton 1-2 Clyde

Millar has us in the driving seat looking to steer clear of the play off position until Clyde score two goals in the last minute. McInally's last game in charge.
MasterTON
My favourite has to be the trip to firhill on the last day of the season: Partick 0 - 3 Morton The players knew what they had to do and didnt even given partick any chances (except a few half chances and 1 that was cleared off the line.)

My least favourite has to be the trip to Almondvale(Livi 6-1 Morton) were Morton didnt even turn up we got a players sent off after about 15 mins and then the whole game went against us.
WendyWho?
Strangely, given the performance, I find myself looking back fondly on the 3-3 draw away to Queens on the first day of the season. A beautiful day, a cider soaked journey, a decent support, a last minute equaliser from Martin Hardie and the whole gamut of football emotion was blighted only by the fact that in a moment of early morning idiocy I deemed it acceptable to wear brown loafers. Crap chips at the ground too. You live and learn though.

Socks
There really isn't anything outstanding on the positive side this year. Even in a pish season there's usually something - even when we were relegated the year before there were still a couple of standouts even aside from the cup run we had. At a push, Cappielow on Boxing Day - we were pretty terrible and very lucky to win (1-0 with a penalty), but it was a really important win at the time, taking us to the middle of the league having only been a couple of points above Stirling a couple of weeks before. Despite that shed being ridiculous when you're tall like me, the atmosphere was pretty good.

Loads of standouts on the other side though - the worst for me was the 4-0 loss at home to Livingston. The reason it was the worst was that although we'd been beaten 5-0 and 3-0 by Hamilton and Stirling the two weeks before, I felt that both those teams played quite well (in addition to our pishiness). However, for most of the game, I thought Livingston were quite poor as well, and it really narked me to have taken such a gubbing off a side I didn't think played that well. I remember going to visit my Grandparents after the game as we did after all the home games, and my Gran worrying that there was genuinely wrong with me, I was so obviously pissed off. It was one of very few games where the feeling of anger lasted a good bit beyond the final whistle.

I maintain that our players had their 'holiday heads' on that day. Probably the best time to get us.
Lambie's Pigeon Feed
Its hard to pick just one favourite, in the league it would have been Thistle 3 - 0 Hamilton or Clyde 1 - 4 Thistle.

Least favourite would have been the first defeat at NDP, I think it was Hamilton 2 - 0 Thistle or maybe the Dundee 3 - 0 Thistle. Both games were watched on a come down in more ways than one.

Pretty much what he said. Mention for the semi against Rangers from me too. The moment McBreen scored is one I'll remember for a long, long time. Had the pain of going out at the end though, but in a weird sort of way it probably wasn't as bad as it would have been if we'd been beaten in regulation or extra time. Something about a penalty shootout made it easier to take. McMenamin's last gasp goal in our defeat at Dens was a sickener for sure.

Easily the best game of last season. The saint-eees chants of 'Can you hear the Dundee sing' just as McMenamin slotted home the winner really made my day.

Our other last minute winner against you was a good game as well biggrin.gif
Caltonfan
favourite Partick 0-3 Morton

least favourite, fortunately i wasnt at the 6-1 defeat by Livingston but was at the other crushing defeat at Almondvale when Livi were 3-0 up at half time, game finished 4-0.

also losing two late goals to Clyde at Cappielow to lose 2-1 in a game that we were controlling comfortably
CK
My favourite game was at Cappielow when we scored twice in stoppage time to win the game. The playoff semi final second leg vs Alloa at Broadwood was probably the most enjoyable game on the season.

Least favourite was our 4-1 home defeat against QOS, gutless performance.
Andrewinspace
least favourite. Scottish cup semi final Total Yawnfest with a distinct lack of excitement and goals wink.gif
EdinburghLivi
Favourites:- There's actually a few I could mention. It's surprising considering how many good games we had that we finished so low but as you we see in the next section there was a whole lot of bad ones. The one's I can remember and attended are:-

Livi 4-0 Morton (First win of the season)
Livi 4-2 Clyde (Every thing you could have asked for)
Dunfermline 0-4 Livi (Probably the best)
Livi 4-3 Stirling (Despite Stirling coming back and looking like they would get the deja vu draw we pulled through with a Dorrans hat-trick)
Livi 2-0 Hamilton (It was nice playing the eventual champs off of the park)
Livi 6-1 Morton (Need I say more?)
Stirling 1-4 Livi (Stunning goals after coming from behind)
Livi 1-0 Queen of the South (The drama of the dissallowed goals was funny)
Livi 1-0 Thistle (It was nice getting the monkey off of our backs)

Shockers:- And there were a few. Had we just been more solid at the back and defended deeper these never would have been as bad.

Queen of the South 1-0 Livi (What a shitty birthday present. We were honking...)
Stirling 3-3 Livi (2-0 up and then they went 3-2 up. Fortunately Snoddy saved a point which we more than deserved)
Livi 0-4 Thistle (High line exploited. Shocking performance. Me and my mates could have faired better)
Clyde 2-1 Livi (After taking the lead we died)
St Johnstone 5-2 Livi (December) (Another example of the high line getting exploited)
Viva La Livi
favourite - livi 4 morton 0 and livi 6 morton 1

least favourite - losing 5-2 to St Johnstone on the last day, which i saw with my son
Juan Sara
Best has to be beating Motherwell 2-1 in the Scottish cup.

Got a few worst ones the 1-0 loss at Partick on a Tuesday night was pretty shit.

1-0 loss to Queens, same day Hamilton won the league, although that was a good day apart from that.

Favourite - has to be 3-2 away to Clyde, the day we won the league. Beating Morton 1-0 at home after they tried to cheat us with the Templeman handball. Crap game but oh, how I laughed and laughed at the Morton fans on here (that should add a couple more pages to this thread). At home to Clyde on last day of season, after all the utter crap we have had to endure over the years will live with me forever.

Equalising in injury time down at Palmerston was quite funny. There were a quite a few Queens fans left the ground looking for someone to fight because our 7 stone 17 year old had outmuscled/pushed (delete as you feel appropriate) some 6 foot 5 carthorse defender on his way to scoring the goal.

Had the fortune to be at Old Trafford when United pumped Villa 4-0. Just a different planet football wise.

Also was at Broadwood for the Alloa game, real thriller, excellent entertainment.

Worst - Losing 2-0 at Livve at xmas time. Freezing, wet, gutless performance. Terrible day.
DAFC
Worst:

Missed the 5-0 Accies game but the Livvy home game was a complete disgrace.

Best:

Livvy 2-0 away, we were excellent in the first half and QOTS home game was a good performance.
vikingTON
Best: Last day at Firhill

Worst: 2-0 loss at Dunfermline in January: at least with the Clyde and Livi defeats there was the possibility of the sack for McInally - no shots on target, no change, no support.
Complete and utter waste of time and money with no net good either.
SampFan101
Best: The big wins over Clyde and Livi but The draw at Ibrox takes it for me. First ever trip to Ibrox and we got stuck in and got a draw I went mental when we scored and lost my voice smile.gif.

Worst: 1-0 defeats to Stirling and Dunfermline (April) and the 3-0 defeat to Morton on the final day. I can remember just sitting there as the Morton game petered out in total deflation.

Despite the fact last season was one of the worst two I've ever seen as a Clyde supporter, it still contained two games that will forever live in the memory, namely the 2-1 win at Cappielow and the 6-5 win over Alloa (both legs of the game were excellent, exciting games).

The worst display would be a total of the first half vs St Johnstone in December and the second half vs Stirling in February.
veteran
Favourite : the Cup Semi.

Most disappoinying : the Cup Final.
Exuberant
Best game:

Not having been at the Ibrox game, I'd have to say the Livi Cup Replay. Heroics from Tuffey, the second half fight-back and then clinching it on penalties after going behind in the shootout. What more could you want?

Worst game:

Either the 3-0 loss at Dens, the 1-0 loss at Forthbank or the 3-0 loss against Morton on the final day. The last of the three was probably the worst on the complete lack of effort, but the Forthbank game really showed us as being absolutely toothless without Buchanan and mediocre without Archibald at the back and Rowson a bit off form.
