I'd like to see him come to us rather than killie. We need a left back.

Doubt he's good enough for SPL.
He was rotten for us in the first half of last season, thats why we signed Malone (twice the player Dixon is)
He only got a game towards the end of the season cos Malone had to cover at centre half.

On his day he's a good first division player and as such I would have likes him to stay as cover for Malone but I'll be very surprised if he can command a game for Killie or Utd.

Saints fans are truly baffled by the treatment of Malone.

We wanted him and O'Donnell from Clyde. Apparently we offered £25K ish for Malone with OD coming for a nominal fee. Clyde convinced us to gerrymander that to £28k for OD and £2k for Malone because the Saintees had stipulated a sell on clause when he left Perth.

And yet, despite the initial £25K valuation, he started fewer than a dozen games, got injured and as soon as he was fit he was off to Dens on loan, then coming back (but never did) and left on a "free"

Unless he seriously pissed off McPherson off field then it was most mysterious.

your gain I guess

Did he play at all for you lot last season? It's a strange one that he bombed at Saints because he definitely looks like he could cut it in the SPL. He'll be a key player for us next season.
BigAl024
Dixon is a good player, and good enough for an SPL team. he fell out of favour at Dens, and things just didnt work out towards the end.

Would rather he never went to the DAB's but, good luck to him wherever he goes.

I can't believe you lot let Malone go for a nominal fee. Normally I would be gutted that Dixon was leaving but now I could'nt care less. Eddie Malone is a far superior player.

we didn't...he was "released from his contract" ie "freed"

Malone headbutted an opposing player in a reserve match about a year ago, which infuriated MacPherson. I think that was the beginning of the end of his St Mirren career. Probably would have got more of a chance in the first team had that not happened.

I think we've also offered Dixon a deal, but I'll be amazed if he doesn't go to Tannadice.
Aitchy
Would be lovely if Dixon came to us, but cant see it now, Mr McInnes will hopefully sign some 21 year old from Macedonia who is just as skillfull as Goran Stanic! As for Malone, always though he was a decent player, but i do think some of the Dundee fans are getting just a tad excited about him, he is a dependable first division defender and that is it.
Deeboy
Dickie is good enough to cut it in the SPL. Crossing most of the time is his downfall but other than that a solid tackler. I'd still prefer Malone in the team though when things aren't going his way he digs in (or headbutts people rolleyes.gif ) whereas Dixon just gives up.
Man with the dancing feet
Agreed. Malone is a much better option than Dixon. Dixons final ball is rubbish and obviously the advantage of Malone being able to play in other positions is a good option.
GypsyTillIDie
BBC says he's going to the Arabs.

They just need to get the compensation deal done.
Juan Sara
He'll probably go to United, hes still young and maybe doesn't want to leave home.

Gavin Swankie turned you down to sign for us, so regardless of whether you rate him, that manager you hold in such high regard, clearly did. As for Paul Dixon - we were interested in him, and why shouldn't we have been? He might've fallen out of favour with Dundee but when he was playing regularly he was one of your more impressive players. Other - more attractive - teams then came into the chase and that's football.

Why is that so funny it has been well publicised that Dundee can not afford massive wages!! Easily pleased in Perth!!!

I must admit that was a bad error by Rae offering that dancing and prancing poser boy a contract, however we all make mistakes. Personally, I would have told him to GTF.
Also can you please think up your own terms of abuse and not just copy mine. cheers.

Big clubs can pay big wages. Looks like you arent a big club after all. Shame.
Juan Sara
Dundee site says only United offered what Dundee wanted so he has been given permission to hold talks with United.

It must be sh*t supporting Saint Johnstone finishing behind a small team like Dundee who are full of ur rejected players. Oh well it will stand you in good stead for the season ahead i suppose as Dundee win the title at canter. laugh.gif laugh.gif
