I know this isn't Scottish-related but I figure this is still probably the best place for it.

Is he the first person to score goals in the EPL, Spanish Primera and Serie A before his 21st birthday?

I'd imagine he probably is. Very few players have scored in all three, so doing it before you're even 21 is quite an achievement.

I can't say for certain nobody else has though.

The only others I can think of are Darko Kovacevic and Savo Milosevic who would have been at least mid-twenties when they went to Italy in 2000, having been in England then Spain. Pierre Wome might be another but apparently never scored in the Spanish league.

Prior to Bosman it'd be even less likely due to furriner quotas etc.

Thierry Henry is another who managed it. 3 league goals for Juve during his spell there.

Also Mario Stanic, who played for Sporting Gijon, Parma and Chelsea.

Edit: Patrick Kluivert for AC Milan, Barcelona and Newcastle did it too.

But none of these guys managed it before they were 21.

I just looked it up... not only did Wome score, but he did so on his league debut (a 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad on 30 August 2003.)

Cheers everyone biggrin.gif

Has Rossi scored in the Premiership for United? huh.gif

A little bit different but Anelka must have scored in Ligue 1, the Premiership and La Liga before his 21st.

I did say apparently - the estimable Rsssf site credits Espanyol's goal in that match to Sociedad's Lopez Rekarte, although upon closer inspection many other sources do indeed credit Wome.

So he's the youngest challenger so far:

Pierre Wome (24 years 4 months)
Darko Kovacevic (26 years 2 months)
Florin Raducioiu (26 years 8 months)
Patrick Kluivert (28 years 1 month)
Savo Milosevic (28 years 9 months)
Mario Stanic (28 years 4 months)
Thierry Henry (30 years 1 months)
Jon Dahl Tomasson (30 years 5 months)
Edgar Davids (33 years 11 months)
Gica Popescu (34 years 5 months)
Laurent Blanc (35 years 10 months)

Surely there must be some more?

NB: I also thought of Paulo Futre - but he never scored for West Ham,
Aljosa Asanovic - but he never scored for Napoli,
Cadete - but he never scored for Bradford,
Dugarry - but he never scored for Barcelona,
Karambeu - but he never scored for Real Madrid,
Javi Moreno - but he never scored for Bolton,
Cosmin Contra - but he never scored for West Brom
Joachim Bjorklund - but the useless fanny never scored for Vicenza, Venezia, Sunderland or Wolves!

etc.

The RSSSF is a great source usually, but I have noticed a few errors on occasion. Still, that's unsurprising given the depth of information on the website.

Dario Silva scored for Calgliari, Malaga and Portsmouth. By my calculations he was 32 years 354 days.

Nicola Berti scored for Fiorentina/Inter, Tottenham and Alaves. I reckon he was 31 years 313 days.

Bernardo Corradi scored for Cagliari/Chievo/Lazio, Valencia and Manchester City. I make him 30 years 234 days.

I'm sure there must still be others.

RSSSF is indeed a great site, but I went with www.lfp.es since it's official (even though I've seen an error there too once.)
