Should Davo play in midfield or as a centre half next season

It's got to be centre-half, he was superb there last season. I also think he is a good midfielder though and he pings passes about for fun but not many Raith fans would agree with me there. Then again he played very well in attacking midfield against Cowdenbeath in the 3-2 win, scoring 2 goals in the process, so that's a possibility (a very slim one though).
If we were struggling for midfielders due to injury/suspension then Davo could certainly slot in but I think he will be our main man in defence this year

Think he'll be back to midfield with all the defenders we'll have available.. Would like to see him stay at the back though, as his best performances by far were there.
Agreed, I prefer him at the back and hope he starts there, but given the make-up of the squad we've got more options at the back once injuries and things start kicking in, so McGlynn might well be relying on him for midfield.
Unless he's looking at playing three centre-backs again, which is possible.
With 3 centre backs they will get the best out of Wilson as right wing back. He should certainly start at the back as Raith need some creativity in the middle and 1 thing Davo isn't is creative

Yep, agree with that.
I'd be surprised if he's put back into midfield to be honest, as we have Silvestro and Walker who play a similar role to Davidson in the middle. It'd be completely stupid to have
three of the same type of player in such a small squad. He'll be used in midfield if necessary, IMO, but he'll start the season in defence.

Who is 'Davo', for anyone who doesn't support Raith Rovers?

Iain Davidson.
Where do you think he should play?

Centre back, especially now that Andrews has gone. I'd love to see him play in a deeper role in midfield with Allan Walker pushing forward and scoring a few screamers but the defence isn't strong enough to lose both Davidson and Andrews experience.
All depends on how fit Mark Campbell and Todd Lumsden are. I'd be happy to see a 3-5-2 being used again this season.

You know our team better than I do!
Davidson is a defender in my eyes.. the fact that it was the tactically astute Gordon Dalziel who spotted the, erm, 'potential' for him to be a midfielder sums it up for me.
Dundee United supporter who knows all this about Rovers...Are you Quinny in disguise?

Centre-half. His passing isn't much better than Silvestro's and I think Silvestro is far more effective at playing the holding role.
I'm not really a fan of Davidson, I don't think he's any better than average. His play-off gaffes certainly haven't helped my opinion either. He's stopped getting stupid bookings though, I'll give him that.
