I would have thought Julian Joachim would still at the age of 34, have more quality than
any other forwards in the 2nd division.

Tbh, I would thought we would have had our fair share of Julians in the past.

Yes if they pay wages out that they cant afford and this is nothing against joachim its just a fact of life in scottish football.We should know as we have paid wages out to players in the past especially when claude hopper was at starks and we couldnt afford it.As a consequence of this we almost went down the tubes a few years ago and are still struggling to this day.Of course it may all be rumours and you will be ok and not paying out silly money but its your team so why worry eh.

The exact same situation with us. Paid out wages we couldnt afford for a few seasons, and it caught up on us big style. Were only just starting to show signs of recovery now, but will be a long time before were back to the sort of standard we should be at. Id have given up those few years of glorious failure for stability any day. As good as it was at the time, its been torture ever since.

Do you ever read a thread, get to the end of it, and then realise that you misread the whole thing? I got confused with Joachim Bjorklund, and was thinking that would be a hell of a signing for East Fife!

For goodness sake he has been playing League 2 football in England for the last 5 years!!! Hardly a bank-breaker. We are still paying less in wages than a lot of clubs in this division so change the bloody record!

the reason why is that you have one of the biggest squads in the division and the only reason players are coming to the club is because they are offering higher wages, albeit not all of that goes through the books i bet, Willie Gray has shares in a brown envolope factory

I think you will probably find that most lower league clubs in England pay more than the majority of our SPL clubs. If I was an East Fife fan and this turned out to be true, I would seriously worry for the financial future of my club.

Joachim falls into the could have done so much better category of player. But I dare say he very probably could score a barrowload up here
