FAO all SPL / SFL fans (and any non-leaguers who respond)

Cutting to the chase I'm keen on getting an online Scottish Football Who's Who together and I'm just testing the water to see who out there would be able to help.

I'd be after a paragraph (or so) to be written for every player in your squad who has played a competitive game this season, summing up what their contribution was to the campaign and their main attributes. Preferably comments that err on the side of caution rather than negativity.

An example or two from a possible Pollok entry:

Bryan DINGWALL (19/2/76, forward)
After a slow start, the diminutive Lok striker had another impressive campaign for West Region outfit Pollok, firing in 27 goals in 41 appearances. Dingwall once again was no stranger to referees though and was forced to miss two key games late on in the season through suspension.

Brian McKEOWN (29/12/77, utility)
Brian McKeown, a skilful holding midfielder, fullback or sweeper, joined Lok in the summer of 2007 from Beith Juniors and made an immediate impact for his new club, turning in many classy performances over the season, including a stand-out show in the Scottish Cup at Links Park against Montrose. 'Snif' ended up picking up the supporters Player of the Year trophy as well as winning the West Super Premier title. Sadly for Lok fans, he decided to return to Beith for 2008-09.
CK
I'll do the Clyde entries.

Cheers CK, it may take a while to get off the ground but the more that are interested the better.

If it looks a goer, I'll get a domain name set up.
Skyline Drifter
I'll do Queen of the South if you like.
Radford
You can pencil me in for St Johnstone if you like.
SomethingTypical
If you're looking for a rep for Wick Academy in the Highland League I'll be happy to give it a go, not been to many matches this season living so far away, still know all the players etc.
craigkillie
I'd happily do them for Killie - however after the past season I'd probably find it hard not to be too critical of some of them rolleyes.gif

OK what I might do is set it up on one of my existing sites (http://nonleaguescotland.co.uk) and buy the domain name once it's up and running.

Thanks guys.

I've just noticed this but it looks like a great idea, keep us updated!

I don't know the best way to take it forward - it really needs to have dedicated person on board from every club to be worthwhile... or someone who watches a lot of football and has good contacts can contribute to a number of clubs. I;m wary about buying webspace for a white elephant...
CK
You might get a better response to it if you post a thread in each of the four division forums.

I'm still interested in helping out, perhaps it could be an idea to re-launch it for the new season?

That was my initial thoughts CK, it might take a season to get folk on board. I was wary about spamming the forums which was why it only appeared in my own one.

I'm sure Div wouldn't mind you posting something in each of the forums if you asked him nicely smile.gif .

Nothing specific, could end up being a long term project. I'll maybe try and drum up some interest in the spring as we head towards the season's end.

That'd be grand.

I can do the Livi stuff, and if no Stranraer fans come forward I'll try and chip in with that since I live down here.

Thanks, hopefully someone from every club can do it as I want to get 1st hand opinions.
