GORDON STRACHAN is taking the Scottish Champions to Portugal this summer as part of their pre-season preparations ahead of the bid for four-in-a-row.
And Celtic will be taking part in the inaugural Algarve Challenge Cup, a tournament also involving Vitoria Guimaraes, Middlesbrough and Cardiff City.
The tournament will take place at the superb 30,000 Estadio Algarve, which is situated in the spacious Cities Park on the border between the Portuguese towns of Faro and Loulé.
The Hoops will face Premiership side Middlesbrough on Tuesday, July 22 and last season’s FA Cup finalists, Cardiff City on Thursday, July 24.
The Algarve Challenge Cup will truly be a festival of football and also a great opportunity to see the Hoops in action.
