Thought it might be a good idea to create a thread detailing when all the friendly fixtures are taking place before the start of the season with everyone adding to it when they hear a game confirmed!

This is what happens when you have no football to keep yourself occupied with! You find yourself counting down the days until "kickabouts" start taking place smile.gif

Here are a few for starters:

Threave Rovers v Morton, Wednesday, July 9.
Queen's Park v Threave Rovers, Saturday, July 12.
Threave Rovers v Kilmarnock, Saturday, July 23.

marf-1870
Three good ones for yous.

Two more...

Annan Athletic v Rangers XI, Saturday, July 26
Dalbeattie Star v Newcastle Benfield Saints, Saturday, July 26
FC_1919
Annan Tourney on the 19th of July.
saintslad
Saints v Kilmarnock 17th July

Sorry Twynholm, but Queens are a tad too big to playing Southern Counties teams or even the Annan tournament. I could see the point if we were going to run a reserve side, but gone are the days that we should be playing teams of that sort of caliber.

Burnley and the like is good for our status.

I agree but Ayr and Stranraer are good run outs, well that was the teams we beat last year. Burnley is a great friendly tho!

Think the cup final has maybe went to somebodys head, ok Ayr was an easy win for yous down at Annan but you drew 1 each with Stranraer after 90 minutes don't think thats quite too big to be playing us.

Also if Killie are big enough to still play Southern Counties teams I'd say Quee*s were too.
This is the one

Magic - watch Annan reserves get gubbed by the league team on the Saturday before playing their first team on the Sunday for the honour of not finishing last!

Hate to rain on the parade here but it will be Killie's under 19's reserves facing the South league boys. Pretty sure they won 4-2 or something at Threave last year with there youths out.

Thank you,I went out there today and the pitch I thought it was ,is Lochar YOUTHS.
There was an old guy strimming, and he gave me a look round. What a set up ! the park is one of the best I have seen. The dressing rooms and facilities are of the highest standard. It really was impressive.
Anyway where is Duncow is it on the way to Auldgirth ? .Can you see i from the road ? I think I might have drove past it.

Marf, I couldnt belive that ,according to the bloke they look after it themselves. The changing rooms are as good as I have seen anywhere. The referees room is quality, and the home dressing room is 5 star. Its as good as I have seen.

Wullie Beattie?? Came on with about 25 mins to go as he's just back from holiday, and hasn't trained yet, few neat turns but no service from midfield and was tough playing against a 1st division team

Wouldn't say they played really well. They strolled through the game looking not troubled, I hope Morton fans aren't going to read anything into it.

Scorers.
B.Wake x3
I. Russell
J. McAlister
E. Partallu
S.Masterson
P. Weatherson?

Was worth the journey to see Wake score a hatrick. tongue.gif

Some of the younger players, in particular Lee Mitchell had a good game when they came on, Finlayson should be afraid.
