It could well be a record, Man City did 6 divisions in 6 seasons from 1997/98 to 2002/03 inclusive, mind you we did it the proper way, no Gretna to help us out!

In the 1960's Northampton Town went from the old English 4th Division to the 1st Division and then back to the 4th Division in successive seasons between 1961/69. Stranraer must have the Scottish record though I would think.

So we are equal with Northampton at the moment Division 1 or 3 in 09/10 ?

Northampton went straight down from the top flight to Div 4 but they spent two seasons in Div 2 on the way up, so that would be 5 divisions in 5 seasons.

They actually spent 2 seasons in div 2 on the way up and 2 in div 3 on the way down, so they are no where near the record.

Wimbledon can match it: during their (slightly stuttering) rise up the leagues they changed leagues eight times in nine years, including a spell of playing in seven divisions in seven seasons between '78 and '85.
