Raving On

I wonder how the Rangers dressing room feel about Daniel Cousin at the moment. He came close to costing Rangers a place in the UEFA Cup final with a moment of sheer unadulterated stupidity that could well be one of the most unprofessional things I've ever seen a football do, considering the circumstances. Its not like he even lashed out; there was a pause as if he was thinking and then a second later he's stuck his head (tamely) onto an Italians.
At the time I said Walter Smith should just sack him, in the knowledge that that's entirely unrealistic. Guys like Davie Weir must be absolutely furious with him though.
What do Rangers fans think?

Obviously I'm not a Rangers fan, but I think Cousin's a complete waster. He has quality but you can tell he doesn't really care. I think Watty only plays him out of necessity.
Rangers fans in the pub were raging that he got sent off for the "headbutt". I know he went down easily, but what are you expecting the ref and linesman to do when it's right in front of them.

I don’t know how you can say he came close to costing the huns the tie. He didn’t looked all that bothered about being sent-off but then, he doesn’t want to be at the huns so that figures.

Kris Boyd!
What did Cousin do last night.Got booked, was lucky not to get booked again and got sent off. That was his contribution.I don't want to keep going on but imagine that was Broadfoot who had done that.
I actually thought Daniel Cousin was doing a not bad job up front last night. Much better than Darcheville, who was as well sitting on the bench and letting the other guys go out and do their thing.
I still don't think he came close to costing Rangers a spot in the UEFA Cup Final. With the way Rangers set their team out in these games, the defensive players are all you need to worry about. I reckon even a defensive sub might have done more damage than Cousin's sending off.

He's never going to play Kris Boyd up front on his own though is he? Through all the European ties this season I'd imagine Boyd's played less than half an hour.
He'd play Novo, McCulloch(injured), Cousin or Darcheville ahead of him.
On your last point if it was Broadfoot that performed like Ferguson last night, the abuse he would have received would be staggering. Ferguson looked like a lost boy.

I hate how whenever ferguson has a few bad games everyone seems to think he has an injury because he is the captain and the best midfielder in scotland according to some rangers fans but in my opinion he isn't but when broadfoot has a bad game everyone wants him sold. I actually quite like broadfoot and hate it when he gets stick as he is playing out of position and I think some people forget that. As for cousin he shouldn't be at the club you can tell he doesn't want to be there and he is an absolute idiot I dont think he should get anywhere near the team and I hope he has played his last part in a rangers shirt.

It would be interesting to see if Smith even allows Cousin to travel with the official squad to Manchester.
I'd have him polishing Chris Boyd's spare boots whilst the rest of them are having a ball!
Fingers crossed someone shows him what a real glasgow kiss is like when he's back here.
Boy is a waste of good wages, he doesn't want to play for the club and to do that is as has already been said one of the most unprofessinal things i've ever seen.
Fair enough he hardly touched him but the intent was there and you don't need two guesses to what a player from an intalian team was going to do.
I'm fed up with people defending him and his motives to move away hopefully now they will see what a dick he is and I couldn't care less if we lose the £3m we had for him in the summer as long as he just goes.

Cousin played like a spoilt brat. If it wasn't for their back-log, Rangers should ride him out of town.
Agree with most of what has been said but I don't think it was ever going to cost Rangers the match, instead of having an 8-1-1 formation they had an 8-1-0.
He would have played 20 mins plus any ET in the final. I'm sure Smith will find someone to lump balls upto in his squad somewhere.

He's got one of those really weird expressionless faces, like Mikaël Silvestre. You can never tell if he's happy or sad, raging mad or calm.
It looked like he wasn't bothered when he got sent off last night, but for all we know he could have been Hulking out.
I honestly thought he was being a bit of an idiot, but I guess that Boyd will be happy - unless Smith pulls a fast one and plays Gow......
There was a comment made by made saying that he had just cost Rangers the title, but what do I know eh? I'm just a diddy club supporter.

It always seems to be the Italians who get headbutted...
