Right, does anyone actually know where these 2 are off to. Ive heard Paton is a sure thing for Thistle but then i hear Clyde is where hes going. Pretty much the same thing for Trouten.

Paton has DEFINITELY signed for Thistle. Don't know about Trouten. He's is an ex-Morton player and a Thistle fan, so wouldn't be surprised if he ended up at Firhill.

That rumor was rubbished by McCall, why is it still doing the rounds?

I wouldn't trust a word Bert Mitchell says though, while it is likely he will sign for Thistle, it is by no means certain.

Pish. On the radio, Willie Miller said that Aberdeen wouldn't buy young players from the lower leagues. He says they have a Youth Develpment Programme for a reason.

Paton has been a done deal know for about a month. Any official announcement was being held off until the season had finished although given that the player, understandably because he was joining the finest football team in the world, has been telling everyone it was the worst kept 'secret' in Scottish football.

From what I've gathered, Trouten's had no concrete offers yet, but only an idiot would predict him not leaving this summer. He is fantastic. Been linked to Clyde and Airdrie as well. That could rely on the playoff results.

Paton's definitely at Thistle, Queen's contracts officially run out on the 30th April, I think it is, so he'll be there in a few days.

Is it not the 31st May? That was the date we unveiled Davie Weatherston last season.

They had the play-offs last year so it was probably extended for a month.

i've seen QP play quite a few times as I live fairly near Hampden, Trouten is a good player and lit up any game I went to watch, dunno if he should jump from 3rd to SPL though, a move to Thistle would be a good one in my opinion.

I read in the Evening Times that he had agreed terms with Thistle until their 'cash crisis'. Now the Evening Times are saying Thistle are about to sign an experienced SPL centre half and are looking for another forward.

There's talk of Ian Maxwell of St Mirren joining us at the back to cover for Archie.

I don't think we'll be signing Trouten, despite the initial promising developments. We're after a couple of Burnley lads up front on loan and I don't see our budget going much further.
