Well they almost got their full 90 minutes with the amount of injury time the ref must've played.

11 minutes of injury time and Cove scoring in the 8th extra minute according to the Sunday Post. Must be some kind of record there. Didn't think old man Tinds would be able to last that long.

There was a hell of a lot of injury time but Cove should've wrapped it up long before the 98th minute.

Who is the Cove keeper BTW? Is he right in the head?

Raybees, his name is Lee Windrum, former Hearts youngster who has also played for Crusaders and Carrick Rangers amongst others back in his native Northern Ireland.

I prefer to think of him as your archetypal eccentric goalkeeper. Though we also have Ivor Pirie, so maybe he's been giving Lee some lessons!

He's certainly eccentric. And it's lucky he's from Northern Ireland as he nearly had to get himself out of some serious trouble after winding up up certain sections of the home support which, to be fair, is not the hardest thing in the world to do.

I was actually unaware at the time just how much injury time had been played. I'd checked the moby for the County score to find we were 1-0 up but didn't pay much attention to the clock when I remembered it would only just've kicked off, so I thought I'll no bother checking again as I'll be home for the 2nd half. When the goal came I thought we must be past full time by now anyway, then when the whistle went I looked at the moby and thought "What the f**k?!"

The 2 o'clock kick off might have put everyone wrong but I can't for the life of me work out where the hell the ref got all the time from.

I was just reading in the Scotsman that he was a 'rookie' referee and indeed played a full 11 minutes of injury time. He should get the same watch as me - an £8 Casio - never lets me down.

The referee was a "she" and is from Inverness, I believe, so that fecks over the conspiracy theorists a little!!

Nah there was a lineswoman but the ref, i'm fairly sure, was a man.

I wasn't there (not that anyone guessed!! ) and was going by the referee's name (Caryl Potten) that had been quoted in the offline and online press as being slated for the game, I was believing it was her- she ran the line at Grant Park when we played Loosie the other week.

Or have I got things horribly mixed up?

I doubt Ewen is, but I'm sure that Gary Clark and Keith Robertson are possibly regretting taking the Vale dollar at this precise moment.
