Laugh away...

Looks OK from the front, quite retro but the plain yellow back is awful, IMO.

Retro indeed. Very nice. I like that a lot.
Real Rae of Sunshine
With a top that bad you would have thought a decent burd to model it would have been on the agenda.

Thistle should bring out the red and yellow Melchester Rovers kit aka 76/77.

Strange thing is, I have always liked the Thistle top. Shame the bands didn't go all the way round though.

Will you be up in arms the same as the Celtic chappies would if the sacred hoops didn't make it all the way round?

And, three hours later after the photos bothered to download, I was very impressed by the huge crowd outside Greaves for the launch rolleyes.gif

Is it actually on sale now? Before the season has ended?

Not really, we changed to red and yellow hoops in 1930(ish) and we've since had plain yellow, stripes, the half and half 'jester' effort of 2004-06 and the Colonel Gees monstrosity in the 80s. So it's not as if hoops have been a constant. Indeed we were rumoured to be going back to stripes this year.

Only plus point I can see to the back is that it makes the numbers easier to read for opposition fans.

No, but we will be wearing it on Saturday, without the sponsor I'd imagine- we're waiting to see what Resolution change their name to before adding that to the strips and putting them on sale.

Trust that fat thistle cow to be there... She does my fuckin' head in how she is aoh so Glasweigen and is full of Glasgow Banter. That she supports Glasgows "Alternative team" when she's just some BBC reject who lives in Milngavie...

Does my fuckin head in...

Plus she's ugly as fuck

McCall must've ate the food that was supposed to be for feeding the hamster that powers their web-server!

As bright red and yellow tops go it is quite smart, best Thistle top in a while.
thisal
Quite like it. By then I think red'n'yella are THE football colours.
Incedently I rather have Kat Harvey there, as she is a true Thistle supporter and not some celeb making out they support Thistle so they don't upset one half of the OF.

Forgive me for asking but who is she? Latest recruit at Firhill Modelling Agency?

Cat Harvey, she's on Real Radio, and is a proper Jags fan. I remember standing in front of her at Brockville one day in about 1992 when she was giving Gerry Britton pelters with the vilest of language.
Stevie Aitken's Love Child
I like it, very 1970s looking. Shame that the hoops dont go allthe way round though.
clyde4ever
The cat's out the bag now then.
(I think she should put the bag back on again, personally wink.gif ).

Anyway, to the strip - Is it pink and yellow?
Very fetching.

I take it her Real Radio promo shot was also taken about 1992...

As she looks a complete dug in the pic on the PT website.

The strip? Not bad. The back being all one colour isn't a bad thing at all, we've done the same with our strips this year.
Owsley
Really nice top. Thistle fans must surely be pleased to see the back of that awful stealth bomber badge. I wonder if anyone was daft enough to have it as a tattoo.
qos_75
It looks okay. Growing up in the 70's & 80's I always think of Partick tops as being yellow and red stripes, much in the same way I think of Killie in blue & white hoops. . Am I dreaming when I say I can remember Partick having plain yellow tops with red trim along with the 70/80's original of your new badge, circa 1986.

She looks fuckin hacket in the top pic as well...

You know, I remember a few years ago I seen her in the Shack nightclub a few years ago and felt the need to ask her if she was the Real Radio Fugie thingy as that was on at the time laugh.gif She wasn't impressed one bit until her pal who was walking behind her seen me and went "Alright Richie" laugh.gif

I think you mean roots. Anyway, I'm surprised you don't support us if you think we have links to the huns, given the fact everyone knows you used to be a rampant bluenose.

Seriously though, you're back to acting like a complete dick. Maybe I'll need to take it upon myself to start bullying you again.

BTW, you do know Rangers first kit was blue and white as oppposed to red white and blue, don't you? Did you also know that Clyde's first strip was blue and white, too?

I'd prefer it if the hoops went all the way round but it's not too bad.

To be fair though - The top is actually alright for those minging colours - I'll give yous credit for that. Plus I like Puma in general laugh.gif

I'm not bitter - Never mentioned anythnig previous about the top. Just can't stand that Plastic Weegie
jaggielonia
Minging colours? Best colours in world football! Love being a Jag just for the colours alone. biggrin.gif

Good enough for Melchester Rovers, good enough for the Jags. (Cue comments of 'who are melchester rovers?' from the p&b regulars.)
Denji
I quite like it.
Steve McQueen
The badge looks better on the strip that the grey one that was launched last week.

Thistle will always struggle to get a decent kit till they change the colours.

I liked the umbro kits from the late 70's to early 80's. This was a nice Thistle kit in my opinion:
