Don't be silly. We can't afford to keep Crawford, at least on the wages he was on. It was always the plan that the wages would be cut if we didn't get promoted. It's nothing to do with McIntyre 'being up for the job'.

Crawford is no longer being paid by the businessman and his wages are in line with the rest of the squad. He hasn't been offered a deal, not even at reduced rates. This decision is about football alone, which adds to my opinion that McIntyre isn't capable of being our manager.

If they get in some players with a point to prove, along with their experienced players they might get somewhere.

Spoke to him very recently and money was not going to be an issue, he was hoping and wanting to finish his career at the Pars and hopefully be in a title winning team next season.
I think you may find that as he is a professional and he didn't join the clique back at the start of the season has had a bearing on this decision as others have said he played and made an effort for all the managers.
I know a number of directors will be very unhappy about this and could possibly jepodise further investment.
Jimmy Mac will really need to have some exciting prospects signed up to win over fans and directors while he's making decisions like this along with Simmons, Burke.
Actually a reason to go to the game on Saturday now just to give him a proper send off can also do that for Simmons and Burchill while I'm there.
Thanks for the memories

If you got a striker that can win the ball in the air and bring it down then i'd have him and Burke upfront, Burke and O'Connor were absolutely brilliant together and went on a spell where they were ripping defences to pieces! Put Burke upfront and he will score! Put him on the wing then you're asking for trouble!

Pissed off at this. Crawford is one of the very few in our squad that has anything resembling a footballing brain. At times, he's always one step ahead of everyone else.
And along with one or two others, he actually cares about whats been happening to us.
My question is, where the hell is JM going to get someone of similar ability? The jury is well out for me.
All the best to the Craw, should still be at EEP next season.

I would not think so.He is well past his sell by date! But it was obvious that after a season where Dunfermline underachieved, they would have to cut the wage bill. They expected to go straight back up,now they have to cut their cloth accordingly. They could end up like us,Dundee and Saint Johnstone and could be in this Division for a few years.

pretty sure it was £2k in the SPL with the club paying £1500 and Mr ******** paying £500, that extra £500 stopped as soon as we were relegated with the club only paying £1500.
Certain other players were on more and still remain on more than that.
Others have re-signed on reduced wages as Crawford was expecting to do.
Wage budget set to between a third and a quarter of last season.
